In addition to what Philip has posted, the Lancashire Telegraph story on John Williams says that he seeks talks with Venky's to clarify his position as his future is shrouded in uncertainty. JW has the best interests of the club at heart but is concerned that he has not part to play in Venky's vision for the club and is the dark over what Venky's plans are for the club. He will walk away if he feels that he no longer has a valuable part to play in the future of the club.

Very worrying, but also at the same time the positive is that he still at the club and planning to talks with Mrs Desai to clarify his role. Hopefully the new owners realise that in John Williams they have a huge asset who can help them achieve whatever vision they have for Rovers.

At least John is hanging in there and is a beacon of encouragement to the fans, players and staff to hang in there with him and not abandon the club.

John's professionalism and dedication to the Rovers' cause goes way beyond anything most people of his experience and seniority would be willing to put up with in under these circumstances.

Once again we have reason to be deeply grateful to John Williams and we are left hoping against hope that Mrs Desai opens her eyes and ears to learning about the real world of Premier League football and not to some money/glamour filled fantasy peddled by agents.

Change of ownership:The Walker Trust had wanted to sell for some time. The club were getting to the stage where in addition to not receiving further funding, they were going to have start repaying £5 mil. of the loans at the rate of £1 mil p.a.

People who talk nostalgically about the Walker Trust should learn this off by heart.

Daily Telegraph report includes these words:My link Though Desai had previously insisted £5 million would be available to spend next month, it is thought that sum may now be boosted after injuries to several key players.

The VH Group is believed to have pledged £30 million in total over the next six transfer windows in an attempt to realise its vision of making Blackburn a top-six side.

Those January funds may not alter the potential dressing-room revolt Kean may have to quell upon his return from Pune.

Defender Chris Samba has already made it clear he wishes to leave the club in light of Allardyce’s departure, while captain Ryan Nelsen has also made public his unhappy confusion at the departure of the former Newcastle manager.

Several other players are expected to follow suit, with morale unlikely to be improved by the fact that Blackburn’s squad were not informed of — much less consulted on – Kean’s appointment until next June.

Nobody can deny that the last two weeks have plunged the Rovers into a crisis of historic proportions.

At least with John Williams still at the club, a solution to many of the ills besetting Ewood only requires a simple phone call to restore his position.

If he goes, then we will be in a horrible downwards vortex.

You'd think that if Steve Kean wants a football club to manage, he would have told Mrs Desai how utterly essential John Williams is. He only has half a season to make his mark and presumably he does not want that to be marked by the entire club going into melt-down?

This is ridiculous. It is early days yet, rumours are flying around, who knows what is true and what isn't, there is so much stirring going on.

Obviously there are going to be changes - there would be with new owners - let's all settle down and remember we support Blackburn Rovers.

As far as the players are concerned, they are still playing for the club they signed for, I doubt much has changed in their day to day routines, and they will still be out on the pitch representing the club. It is up to them to prove that they are men, get on with their jobs and win some matches.

Changes happen, we have to get over it and move on. It's happened, mistakes will be made, but it's time to look forward.

Having said that, I will always support John Williams and Tom Finn, we need their stability and knowledge.

My support is unstinting, but not unquestioning.

We would have to be a cohort of cyborgs with Venky's compliance chips in our head in order to accept what has gone on without question.

If I see something that I'm critical of then I'll criticise it.

In light of recent events and some of the ludicrous bannings on the Official Club Forums I have a plan, based on how the club is now run.

I am going to write to Venkys and tell them that I can do a much better job than the current board moderator. I can see me being in that hot seat by New Years Eve. I naturally have no experience of moderating a forum but I have contributed to forums so that should be enough right?

for postings that are worse than what's been put on here?

I got a temporary ban for "stupidity", upon being threatened with this I posted asking if the current owners were going to be banned from Ewood Park. BANNED!

One man's irony is another man's stupidity quite obviously, I mean how ironic/ stupid is that (delete as applicable depending upon whether you're ironic or stupid).

Kean is a coach and from the small amount that I have seen of him has little of the necessary charisma and leadership qualities. If he is to be manager until the end of the season then there desperately needs to be (a dreaded) Director of Football created as a figurehead. A person with massive credibility and status. Problem is that I cannot readily think of one, never mind one that would come here right now.
