braddock Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 I'm optimistic. A point would be OK but I can see us doing them. We won't get beat, you heard it here first. If we get beat I will leave the board, never to return.
SAS Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Thanks for that Mum! Tickets booked! Come on the Rovers! Rovers ready for Boxing Day clash Posted on: Fri 24 Dec 2010 Blackburn Rovers aren't anticipating any weather worries as the club gears up for the Boxing Day clash against Stoke City. Last time out staff worked tirelessly to clear heavy snow from the pitch and walkways to ensure that our game with West Ham United was one of just three Barclays Premier League games that went ahead last weekend. But despite the country in the midst of the cold snap, no problems are envisaged for this Sunday's match, with all areas clear of snow. Wonder what excuse everyon have surely they have undersoil, heat lamps and pitch covers like us.
Hughesy Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 I think Blackpool should be in bother now - isnt that 3 games off because of weather at there place + 1 at the start because of it not being ready? Pathetic for a premier league club - and unfair on the rest. At this rate there last 10 games are going to be mostly home games!

They said before the start of the season that they didn't have undersoil heating - you can understand it because they've never had much money before to put it in. If Blackpool are in trouble then Fulham should be in more trouble, they've been back in the PL for nearly 10 years like us and still don't have it.
riverside returns Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 God I hope not, Benjani was awful last time out, woeful!

Either way its not acceptable - thats 4 home games cancelled so far & we are only in December.
Amo Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 God I hope not, Benjani was awful last time out, woeful! Kean said he had a "great game" against West Ham... and he clearly rates him ahead of Kalinic. Let's pray for a Boxing Day surprise.
Bobby G Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Kean's targeted 4 points from the next two games.
Hasta Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Kean's targeted 4 points from the next two games. Our owners are probably targeting 4 points from the next 1 game.
SAS Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Blackpool don't. Was meant to say everton* I can only imagine it takes too long to install undersoil heating in-between bpool winning promotion and their first game. It's not as if they could not afford it.
only2garners Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Wonder what excuse everyon have surely they have undersoil, heat lamps and pitch covers like us. Everton's game is off because they have a frozen water supply, nothing to do with the pitch.
Stuart Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Thank crunchie it's matchday! Come On You Blues!!
Stuart Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Just arrived at Blues. Can't believe no further posts since I left the house! Atmosphere is BUZZING! COYB!!
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 I heard from a friend of a friends dog that Kalinic has been on fire in training. Does anyone know if a ) that's true and b ) he's starting today? Maybe he's enjoying our new approach to playing 'with style'.
Amo Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 ROVERS: Robinson; Salgado, Hanley, Nelsen ©, Givet; Emerton, Dunn, Pedersen, Olsson; Kalinic, Biram-Diouf. Subs: Bunn, Linganzi, Doran, Hoillet, Morris, Benjani, Hadji-Diouf. STOKE: Begovic; Wilkinson, Shawcross ©, Huth, Collins; Pennant, Delap, Whitehead, Etherington; Walters, Jones. Subs: Sorensen, Higginbotham, Whelan, Wilson, Tuncay,Fuller, Gudjohnsen.
Bobby G Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Very attacking line up. Worried we will be outfought today in midfield.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Hmmmmmmmm interesting that Hanley starts. Is Olsson at LM and Givet at LB or is it a 5-3-2 with Salgado and Olsson as wing backs?
Backroom Tom Posted December 26, 2010 Backroom Posted December 26, 2010 Dunn must have some intel on Kean. Hanley is risky against a team like Stoke. At least olsson and kalinic are playing so it's a start
budha Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Hmmmmmmmm interesting that Hanley starts. Is Olsson at LM and Givet at LB or is it a 5-3-2 with Salgado and Olsson as wing backs? Or 4-5-1 with Emerton, Peds and Dunn in the middle and M. Diouf on the wing. Anyone's guess.
philipl Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Does that line-up have the physical presence to face what Stoke are going to be throwing at us? On paper all very pretty but they are going to have to play out of their skins.
Dunnfc Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Got a good feeling today, hope the players do the business for Keannoooo and the fans! Very attacking but solid, nice to see 2 upfront. rovers to win 2-1.
