John Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 How can anyone take Venkys so called ambition seriously when they believe a novice manager/coaching staff can take us high up the leaguue? It might work out of course, if it does, it will be one hell of a story.

whalleyrover Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I have given Kean a chance, but after todays abject performance Rovers fans must unite and call for his dismissal before we are staring relegation in the face. No idea, bad back room staff . KEAN OUT NOW
chaddyrovers Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Time for a change as manager. Get Bilic in!!! or Shearer in!!!
ada2020 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Time for a change as manager. Get Bilic in!!! or Shearer in!!! Cracking suggestions there chaddy.......
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Keano's Rovers honeymoon well and truly over.
chaddyrovers Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Cracking suggestions there chaddy....... Do you think Kean is doing a good job? If kean was to be sacked then who would you want as manager?
RevidgeBlue Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I have given Kean a chance, but after todays abject performance Rovers fans must unite and call for his dismissal before we are staring relegation in the face. No idea, bad back room staff . KEAN OUT NOW Based solely on today's performance it would be hard to disagree but that's an extremely harsh view given Kean's eleven points from ten games is not too dissimilar to Sam's twenty one from seventeen. Still we could always appoint someone else for the next five games and if that doesn't go too well appoint our fourth manager of the season for the last five or six.
Jimmy612 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Time for a change as manager. Get Bilic in!!! or Shearer in!!! Whats this daft obsession with Shearer? And anyway, Kean isn't going anywhere, he's Venkys puppet.
ada2020 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Do you think Kean is doing a good job? If kean was to be sacked then who would you want as manager? Shearer would do better would he? I'm not getting dragged into naming managers I want, bottom line is Kean is going no where in the immediate future. Billic has achieved sod all and shearer got Newcastle relegated, fantastic suggestions.......
AggyBlue Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Billic has achieved sod all At least he'd know how to get the best out of Kally
Gav Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Kean needs to adopt the approach Hughes did at the beginning of his reign. Get the defence sorted Spot on LeChuck, he's got too many square pegs in round holes for me. See this season out, and with a pre-season under his belt and summer spending spree things should improve.
ada2020 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 At least he'd know how to get the best out of Kally Buy Krancjar (sp) apparently....
JAL Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I want to see premiership football not only next season, but the following seasons, so with that, Steve Kean HAS TO GO asap along with his ###### head aide Jensen.
John Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 True can make observations, be critical etc but Kean is here for the long term. As cringe worthy a statement it is, he does need time.
JAL Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 True can make observations, be critical etc but Kean is here for the long term. As cringe worthy a statement it is, he does need time. Sorry time is up for Kean..... off, off, off! Someone on here posted, a coach IS a coach, a manager is a manager, with this, Kean IS A coach and not a manager.
imy9 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Time is up after what is it a dozen games? Less than a third of one season. Even Ince got 17 pl games! He has got a three yr deal he is not going anywhere.
chris Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Even if Kean is a bad manager which is more likely true then not based on the fact is had a poor assistant mangement record, no experience and is boarder line flopping so far, we may aswell continue with him until the end of the season because its a write off anyway now we only have to survive. If after signing players and the first 10 games of next season we are in trouble then get a new man in. It true he is probably not going anywhere so no point in asking for the sack, he has just signed a three year deal.
ada2020 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Can we survive though Chris, given the manner of the performance today?
MeanGreenMachine Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I want to see premiership football not only next season, but the following seasons, so with that, Steve Kean HAS TO GO asap along with his ###### head aide Jensen. I pity you
chris Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 probably this season, at the moment Whats scary is this guy is less qualifed then then Kidd or Harford and they destoryed us, I mean totally killed us. I am willing to wait but have been burnt by better qualified unexperienced managers in the last 13 years. Very worrying with you don't have someone you can trust incharge. ahhhh why couldn't these chicken farmer get us a top manager rather then hire a nobody, doesn't make sense at all. guess we have to stay optmistic.
LeChuck Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Did you see today's game? We had loads of (ineffective) bodies in the middle. Hoillet, Dunn, Jones, Nzonzi and no width on either flank. I saw today's game. I don't know how what you wrote relates to what I wrote. I agree with the no width thing, that's why I said a proper 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3. Both give lots of width. My feeling is that Kean is trying to appease fans/Venky's by going two up front, but also suspects that we can't get away with just playing two in the middle of midfield, hence the diamond. The lack of width is crippling and meant Enrique had a free run all game, knowing there was no-one on our wing to exploit space he would leave.
ada2020 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I'm beginning to get concerned or this season though, today was terrible. Scrapeing for a positive, I believe we played better against spurs and got naff all, guess playing that poor today and getting a point is a bonus. Newcastle must be utter @#/? though to have not taken all three points from us today........
rebelmswar Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Call me paranoid if you will but I am getting a very very bad feeling about this whole situation. Serious question, what are our odds for the drop standing at now?

JAL Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I pity you Why pity me with this clown in charge or are you not a Rovers fan. probably this season, at the moment Whats scary is this guy is less qualifed then then Kidd or Harford and they destoryed us, I mean totally killed us. The critical thing about Kean is the Argentinian kid and Barca kid look nowhwere near ready for premiership football yet.
