Fool!!! Big Sam with some proper cash could have got us top 7. Not going to get that with Kean in charge.

Big Sam is one of the best manager to keep teams up in the PL and look at what he did with Bolton. Got them into the top 7 twice and could have done this with rovers.

Maybe Chaddy but would anyone have noticed.

Don't pretend Big Sam was this squeaky clean angel who only stuck around for the good of the club.

And who in their right mind would give Sam a pot of gold just for the exotic version of Wimbledon FC?

Kean needs to adopt the approach Hughes did at the beginning of his reign.

Get the defence sorted, stop allowing the opposition chances and possession. Build from the back, when that is sorted we can think about being more expansive on the attacking side.

Just like Sam did.

We progress, sack him and then back to square one. again!

Why can't some people get over the fact Sam has gone?

Big Sam was the best manager we could have got when he came in. I didn't see you complain about Big Sam when he saves us from going down and then last season when we finish 10th and a semi final.

So you are a big Steve Kean fan? Do you go to the games? We were awful yesterday, Awful at villa for the cup game, awful away at wigan and sundeland.

I have seen all SK game apart from the chelsea. We have only played well in 4 games. One was a lucky win at home to WBA.

Where did I say I was a big Steve Kean fan?

I'm just sick of people talking about fat Sam, for better or worse he's gone and hopefully won't ever be back.

Yes he probably would have kept us up but his style was awful to watch.

We have been poor the last couple of games but no worse than west ham at home last season and the Liverpool game was the best I have seen us play in years.

I am very grateful he came in and cleared up the utter mess that Ince left us in.

Plus finishing 10th last season was another proud and fantastic achievement - the end of last season in particular the pride was returning and we finished the season in some style.

Football is about winning not about style. I didn't see any chelsea fans complaining when Mourinho won them trophies and league titles.

Liverpool was a excellent game.

I would have Big Sam back as manager. He knows how to get results in PL and would get us into the top 10 easily with abit of money. Not loads but about 15 to 20 million pounds.

Of course I'm grateful for the job he did keeping us up but I never saw him as a long term manager, he's an expert in steadying teams but not sure he was the man to push us on. Problem is steve Kean may not be either.

I said at the time and still think 10th flattered us last season due to some big luck in the last couple of games, still it was a great finish taking the whole season into account.

You think??? The owners said that they want a proven manager then we ending up with Kean.

I hope we stay up this season and then we can get a proven manager in and NOT MARADONA!!!!!!

I should say I have never agreed with the sacking of Sam in fact I was with Tris and Ewood Spark the night he was sacked and we all expressed concern.

Whilst I wasn't a fan of the style I thought he should have been given till summer then possibly parted ways more amicably.

All I'm saying is now Sam Allardyce is irelevent to the predicament we face. The owners are here to stay and they have decided Kean is the man for them somehow.

I have to 100% agree with this. People wonder why the football world was laughing when we sacked BFS. Look at Keans record since he took over and its very difficult to argue BFS would not have achieved more.

People also forget the mess Rovers were in when BFS took over from Ince. He did a miracle keeping us up.

Wise words BFS is not coming back and Kean will be the manager till the summer. Unless there is a big pick up in performance I find it difficult to see him being at Ewood long term.

Matter of opinion but it's about style and winning, Mourinho had both in his Chelsea team. Spending money will not ensure a top ten finish, looking at the long term, developing our kids, buying the best talent from across the globe may do that.

Mourinho at times knew when to grind out results, Kean hasnt got the tactical nous to be able to change things, he appears uni directional and after 25 minutes yesterday could have nullified their major threats from wide by changing the system, why do we allow the full back to push on so much? because we have no one in front of the two full backs.

Is that the same Mourinho who was sacked by Roman Abramovich because of his playing style?!

Mourinho is a brilliant, brilliant manager but considering the teams he's managed his style is not easy on the eye at all. Obviously given the quality of the players at his disposal he's a long way from Allardyce style football but his teams hardly play attractive football. Very bad example.

We aren't a park team imy, where the lads are out for a kick about, we're a professional football club. Go ask any professional sportsman or manager and ask them what their job is about and they will tell you to a man that it's about winning. That's their task - winning, that's what gets their adrenaline flowing, that's where they get their kicks from. They get no satisfaction from playing well and losing. As a fan, I get the satisfaction from seeing my club, whichever way they can, take on the opposition and beat them. I get no satisfaction from losing a game.

You might point to the way Arsenal play as being proof that attractive football is important to some managers. The thing is that Wenger sees the way he plays his football as being the best way of winning games. If Arsenal were towards the bottom of the league on anything like a regular basis, they wouldn't be playing that way, because Wenger would Either change his methods, or get the sack.

and that's where the arguments about clubs wanting attractive football falls down, because ultimately, they don't. Some fans see that, some don't.

There is not a club in the history of the Premier League (ie since money started having a big impact on the game) that has achieved sustained success (ie finishing mid table and/or above past a flash in the pan season) and played attractive football at the same time on a small budget. There's a few (Stoke, Rovers, Allardyce era Bolton) who managed it by playing direct football.
