Judas Kean has overstayed his welcome. Time for him and the chicken farmers to go...

Stick him back on the coaching staff, if hes good at coaching moving him to where hes at his best but for god sake get him out of the Ewood Park hotseat NOW.

Are Jerome Anderson and Kentaro clarets in disguise?

I think if we were to go to Villa Park now Kean would still be stood in the same place, he just stood there the entire game. He just doesn't seem to do anything - shout, move, wave arms, anything. It's odd!

Three men there looking totally completely out of their depth.

Paul Ince did that aswell. his coaching never seen to do owt aswell. Mark Hughes Staff would do so. Mark Bowen was always saying things from the sidelines. As did Big Sam and Neil McDonald were always saying things from the sidelines.

Kean just seems a leader without any people following him!

I agree JAL. Perhaps he should be 1st team coach, or assistant manager with a proper manager in charge. O'Neill may be available immediately for instance, and he could get back into a top 10 team over time. Basically, Venky's had better stop chatting crap about signing Kaka, Tom Cruise, the Dalai Lama or whoever, buy a clue and sort out a new manager who can control the transfer policy.

These big names are not going to come if we are playing Coventry, Watford and Derby next season.

So it's time to call a taxi for Karl. Now.

Jol was the obvious choice, on the night of Sams departure I was at Ewood along with a few members of this messageboard and everyone seemed to think Jol was the right man and it was unthinkable that Kean would take over. I doubt many of us had even heard of him.

Yes but we were unaware that Kean put in long hours!

lets face it we have been here before and know what happened.

Its a real possibility we could go down, but the next two games are winable so best wait.

Kean start off a bit of a embarrassment and its starting to turn into a big embarrassment

Hopefully he can turn it around but terrible situation Rovers are in now.

This is Ince Mk 2 though isn't it? Lose those "winnable" next 2 games and where will we be in the table then?

As soon as anyone tries to play "expansive football" with this team you're gonna get pasted big time. Ince found out after a few decent results at the start of his tenure, that all went downhill. If you sack a manager who made his living keeping teams up you'd better have a pretty special replacement or a pretty special team that can play how you want. Apart from a few individuals my best hope is with the replacement, and christ that worries me.

Question - if Kean goes, who would want this job ?

A job, where, many people think, the buying and selling of players is no longer under the control of the manager.

Can anyone think of a more unstable PL club at this time ?

I seem to remember a manager in London never requesting Fernando Torres

Who ever comes in is not going to want him anywhere near the club. As for Jol please remember he was all but sacked by Ajax after a terrible run. Martin O'Neil left Villa as they were not ambitious enough and the wage bill had to be trimmed. Of course he should be asked but I doubt he would come, if he did though he would bring a very good back-room team with him but of course would want total control.

Torres is a very good player I think a better example would have been Andriy Shevchenko who was way past his prime when he signed for Chelsea.

Kean isnt a leader. He isnt vocal, and he doesnt lead by example. He stands there either with his hands in his pocket, or crossed looking clueless. He isnt a manager, and he never will be.

There is a reason why less and less people take punts on coaches and number two's. They are rarely good enough, especially when they are already in their 40's.

Whose the clubs press officer? Maybe we can give that job to Kean, with his good pressers and all.

The Sunday Telegraph match report has an interesting take on events.....

Paul Robinson was steadily working himself into a supernova in the Blackburn goalmouth and with good reason. In front of him Blackburn Rovers were being scattered like tissue paper in a tornado.

Grant Hanley had put one past his own goalkeeper and Ryan Nelsen, Steve Kean’s captain, was sent off when he picked up a second booking for a foul on the irrepressible Ashley Young.

Robinson’s fury was understandable. This walkover has put Blackburn within four points of the relegation zone, and if they succumb to another collapse of this sort anything could happen.

........

Steve Kean’s attempts to rob Villa of momentum by introducing Nikola Kalinic and Jason Roberts, for Roque Santa Cruz and Vince Grella, respectively, failed utterly.

........

Only Kalinic looked to have been suitably moved, attempting to rescue the situation with a long-range effort which looped up off Richard Dunne’s boot and in, but he didn’t bother to celebrate – never a good sign. Downing responded with a squared pass to Young in the area, who whacked it past a resigned Robinson.

“The fourth goal killed us,” said Kean. With insight like that, what has Robinson got to worry about?

just read through the comments of our owners when they said his job is secure "no matter what happens" for the next 2 and a half years...........we are screwed, unless they left themselves a loophole by not saying "in his job as manager".

just checked the odds he is the 7th safest manager in his job at the minute which given current form and league position should make no sense at all.

SEN/Kentaro may have inadvertantly ended Keans career in football, like all agents, they pushed Keans name forward for the position at Ewood, however, there is still lots of concern as to alleged 'back stabbing' by Kean, I say alleged as I dont know for sure but many people within football believe that to be the case.

So where would Kean go next, as a manager? no chance, he's out of his depth, as a coach or assistant? who would trust him now? Which manager would say to him, come and be our first team coach, you would want to trust your staff 100%, could they after whats happened at Rovers, maybe the people inside football are wrong and that there was no 'back stabbing' yet so many things point to that being the case.

Most experienced managers (if not all) in football would insist they are in control of tactics, team selection and transfers, it does not seem evident that this is the case at Rovers, of course it may be that Kean was in control of transfers but pointers regarding signings suggest he didnt know much about Formica,

never met his number 2 Jensen and whilst he may have had some knowledge of Rochina during his spell in Spain, it seems unlikely as Rochina would only have been 16/17 at the time.

So rightly or wrongly there is concern throughout football as to how Kean arrived in the hot seat at Rovers, would any one of us, as a manager, trust someone who you feel may 'stab you in the back' I know I wouldnt.

This is of course open to debate, it may or may not be correct yet I can only look at what has happened, as will others and wonder why an established PL club sitting nicely in the table, would appoint an untried coach they had hardly met and disperse with a manager proven at PL level?

It makes little or no sense to me and could have damaged Keans reputation beyond repair.

Very good points Kelbo.

My opinion is that Kean got lucky with that 7-1 hammering at Old Trafford but that there is no way even if he was 100% lucky that his position in English football can be salvaged- mud sticks and all that.

However, he and Jensen are internationally mobile and are clearly comfortable working in the Kentaro system. So the future for them is nowhere near as bleak post-Ewood as you are suggesting.

I don't give a damm about Kean's future career.

The alleged 'backstabbing' immediately turned me off this guy and the more I see and hear of him, the more I think that he's a bullsh1tter who got unbelievably lucky and is now so much out of his depth that it's horrendously startling.

All I care about is the future of Rovers which at the moment looks grim.

Anyone watching Goals on Sunday?

Probably. See what rubbish he comes out with. He's on with his mate Charlie Nichols. SEM special with Sky :lol:

It's simple Kean, you are out of your depth and clueless when it comes to tactics, team selections and subs.

just do the right thing and walk away from Rovers. we need a proper manager asap!
