Amo Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Well I don't have too much time on my hands, far from it hence my minimal chance to look at this board and post recently. But I have still found the time to say how much of a joke this team is at the moment, and that starts at the top. The team needs managing, by a manager, not by some imposter and his Danish assistant who he had an arranged marriage with If you don't rate the manager, fair do, mate. But the fact people need to express this on a daily hourly basis...

BPF Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Topman, You do have a point. A solid 2-0 victory on Saturday will have this board all doubting themselves again. It is one of the most fickle places on the internet. Sadly, I cannot see the above event coming true. I'm just praying with every ounce of my being that we survive this season but changes MUST take place at the end of the season. I desperately want to leave England with Rovers in the Premiership.

I hope you do to BPF and long may we stay in the Premiership, and to coin Winston ChUrchills words during WW2 (and indeed mine when having a passionate moment with the wife) its going to be long, its going to be hard!!

[/quote As much as I want us to win 2-0 I don't think it's going to happen. Our away form is so poor (and I blame BFS as much for this) that we will have to rely on home results. I hope I am wrong.
Mercer Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 IMO, this just confirms how deluded Kean is - quotes from a football news site today: "The stability they've given me is fantastic," explained Kean. "Do I feel safe? Yes, I do. "It's also good for the players. We've so many who are out of contract in the summer, so the fact they want to back me through my contract allows me to sit down with the lads, like I did in the transfer window. "They might not want to sign a new contract if someone else is coming in.".

gumboots Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Good God!! Its Ewood's own Col Ghadafi----------"ALL MY PLAYERS LOVE ME!!!!!!!" Would depend who the someone else was who was coming in. Top manager, they would sign but PI type manager, Kean's right.
Seggie Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Theres all the crap spoken about a marquee signing which isn't neccessary in our situation. What should have happened is when they decided they were going to Sack Sam was line up a Marquee manager which imo is a much bigger sign of intention than signing any random world class player. Trouble with that is managers tend not to be as marketable. Players need leadership and to have faith in the person leading, Kean may have been able to convince players to stay but that may be down to what is being said above him, those players who signed may still have no faith in him as a leader.
roversmum Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Theres all the crap spoken about a marquee signing which isn't neccessary in our situation. The thought of the amount of £££££s going into the back pocket of JA in the scenario of a marquee signing is truly scary.
BPF Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Un-effin-believable The Ewood Park outfit have performed admirably under Kean's stewardship despite initial scepticism over his appointment.
rebelmswar Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Un-effin-believable Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha *manic laughing continues*
BPF Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha *manic laughing continues* That is a big sign to me: The media expect Kean to be gone imminently and are preparing past articles to be pro Kean to rip into the club again. Ironically the first good thing that Venkys will do is correct their own mistake.

Ironically the first good thing that Venkys will do is correct their own mistake. I remember reading the post from you that said they didn't like Sam and at the time I thought no chance they will get rid of him. A couple of weeks later he was gone. Do you honestly think they are going to sack him ? What happens if we win ?
John Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I don't think sacking Kean could really happen - for a start you would need a ready made replacement in come in straight away, at least on a temporary basis. Otherwise who would be in charge?
RibbleValleyRover Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I don't think sacking Kean could really happen - for a start you would need a ready made replacement in come in straight away, at least on a temporary basis. Otherwise who would be in charge? Iain Brunskill? Joking aside if Kean has to go it's going to be a tricky task to find someone who can come in and can do a job quickly.
LeChuck Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Do we need to sack him? Just demote him back to his old job. If Venky's haven't protected themselves somehow for this 2 1/2 year contract I'll be amazed, even by their standards.

Otherwise who would be in charge? Another heavy defeat tomorrow and I'd be surprised if he survived. There are 2 weeks until the next game. We've heard zilch from Venkys this week.
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Another heavy defeat tomorrow and I'd be surprised if he survived. There are 2 weeks until the next game. We've heard zilch from Venkys this week. We've heard little from anywhere (except kean) this week. Even the normally forthright Jason Roberts Twitter and Gamst's blog has had nothing Rovers related this week. Almost like a media black out.
Iceman Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 If Kean is sacked, then the only candidate for me, would be Martin O Neill. I doubt he would come here, because its not a safe environment for any sane manager to work in. I guess, its nearly Maradona time!
Kelbo Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Iain Brunskill? Joking aside if Kean has to go it's going to be a tricky task to find someone who can come in and can do a job quickly. If Anderson has gone, Kean is in trouble, he is not up to the mark for the job and without his major allie, he has a problem, I really think someone has agreed on a short term to come in here at least until the season ends. I have heard this week that the agents fees since Venkys took over is greater than the whole of the last decade!! If this is true, then Venkys are really smarting. If Kean is sacked, then the only candidate for me, would be Martin O Neill. I doubt he would come here, because its not a safe environment for any sane manager to work in. I guess, its nearly Maradona time! Ranieri wants back in the Prem and Benitez is living in Liverpool!!
Iceman Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 John Williams should be made an advisor to Venkys, oh wait. On a serious note, John Williams to return as director of football now that buzz lightyear is no longer involved. Oops, I meant Jerome Anderson, NOT Buzz Lightyear. I'm watching Toy Story with my son, and all I hear is Buzz Lightyear
Mercer Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 IMO, Kean will have left Rovers for good by noon on Monday.
rebelmswar Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 IMO, Kean will have left Rovers for good by noon on Monday. You might want to give yourself a little room on that one don't you think?
