Ranieri wants back in the Prem and Benitez is living in Liverpool!!

two excellent candidates for the job if the owners wanted them. I would prefer Ranieri to Benitez tho. never been a fan of benitez and I can't see the owners getting on with him. But I think they would with Ranieri.

let's wait and see what happens tomorrow. we might win against Fulham :o:lol:

You might want to give yourself a little room on that one don't you think?

Had an interesting beer or two this evening with some friends / associates and that one came out of the blue! Informed, speculative or alcohol fuelled, I don't know. The source is a pretty conservative sort of bloke not normally taken to flights of fancy. Might end-up with egg on my face but then again, I wouldn't be the first or last!

If Anderson has gone, Kean is in trouble, he is not up to the mark for the job and without his major allie, he has a problem, I really think someone has agreed on a short term to come in here at least until the season ends.

I have heard this week that the agents fees since Venkys took over is greater than the whole of the last decade!!

If this is true, then Venkys are really smarting.

Ranieri wants back in the Prem and Benitez is living in Liverpool!!

Has Anderson gone?

Have I missed something?

It's a shame as we've lost a great coach in Kean

Was he a great coach? I don't think we really know.

If he was 'great' then I have to ask why, prior to us, he was with Championship Coventry where he got sacked and then why no other team would take him apart from us.

He probably is a decent coach, but we're probably the best club he's been at in his career. He's been compared to Brian Kidd on here a few times, but to be honest he's nowhere near Kidd in terms of being a renowned and successful coach.

Despite his playing style, Allardyce is no mug. If Kean was so good in the background then surely he would have been made assistant ahead of Neil McDonald.

Okay, As I've now personally confirmed this, I'm not betraying any sources so:

1. After the Aston Villa game, the Rao brothers were in a blind panic. They rang Mr Anderson right away demanding he explain what exactly his suggestions have added to the team. This was then followed by an 'EMERGENCY' meeting, which I hear took place on Monday morning. The outcome of that meeting I believe was the removal of Mr Anderson permanently from the club.

2. Up until Saturday, our favourite brothers had never even believed that relegation was even a possibility. Why would they? Noone had mentioned that to them before. Realizing that they do not have the cash to support a Championship revival they are now taking a much more hands on approach. A Venkys representative has been brought to Brockhall (Although I think this might have just been to rid us of Kentaro.)

3. I have it off about eight sources that Claudio Ranieri has said that if he was offered the job, he'd take it.

4. They are looking to get rid of Kean, It will take something special tomorrow to save him. The break up with Kentaro gives them the perfect scapegoat. Venkys can now play the 'We are new to this, we thought we were receiving high quality advice. Now that we realize we weren't we have rectified the issue etc....'

**Legal - this is based on journalistic hearsay and is not facts that Venkys or Blackburn Rovers have presented themselves**

Ranieri? Urgh. I guess he's better than Kean...but the man for a relegation fight?

He's completely messed up 4 of his last 5 jobs (ironically the exception being a relegation escape at Parma).

If we thought Kean's tactical decisions were weird then Ranieri will cause heart attacks.

Frack me.

There is so much in there that makes me want to throw up.

Oh God...

Thanks for that BPF.

As to point 4. High quality advice my arse. They simply don't have an ounce of business acumen nor a clue about English football. It's a bloody tough track and they were led up the garden path by a smooth talking parasite (whose name I forget ;) ). When they sacked the manager the football world and his wife were telling them that what they did was stupid / misguided / unfathomable etc etc. (see my sig) That was real high quality advice. I've no doubt they ignored and disregarded John Williams entirely. There is an age old saying 'a fool and his money are soon parted' and they have proved that perfectly. They must be regretting their move to buy BRFC massively, well they are certainly not alone in that are they?

Messed up is harsh IMO. With Juve took them from top of second division to 3rd in first season and then 2nd the next. With Roma he took them to 2nd in the league, now I don't know how much he spent but it will have been less than Inter. Excellent manager with a top pedigree, question is can we afford him. I hope for the sake of the club we see some stability on and off the pitch.

Theno--you surely remember that no-one else wanted us, including the Trust?

We have to hope that they learn their lesson and we somehow survive this season's relegation battle. Let's then see what next season brings. No excuses after that though.

Now for the really crazy part...

It's got so crazy that certain members of the trust want us back...

Well...he was either sacked or quit before the board had chance to do so in 4 out of the last 5.

He really didn't seem like a manager suited to a side like us when he was with Chelsea. Then again, maybe he's one of those (many) managers that is brilliant on a small budget but isn't good when he gets lots of it.

IMO, there is only one man who can save the day for Venkys.

Huge load of humble pie to be eaten but that's Sam - either short term or long term. He knows the scene inside out and would have immediate impact.

Lots of people on this MB have said it wont happen. Well, there could be huge bucks at stake for both parties and I wouldn't rule it out.

After tomorrow, there are 9 matches to go and we need someone who will hit the ground running.

Save Our Season - Sam.

Speculation is that Fred & Howard Walker are driving this.

True 47er,

But under the Walkers, it would not have been like this.

No but under the Walkers we couldn't even get any free transfers in so we would have been relegated eventually anyway
