Andy Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 So then, for those who are partial to information, if we get a bit of a beating tomorrow at Fulham, how likely will it be that Mr Kean is joining the Dole queue at some point next week...?

chaddyrovers Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 So then, for those who are partial to information, if we get a bit of a beating tomorrow at Fulham, how likely will it be that Mr Kean is joining the Dole queue at some point next week...? I hope he can afford his unemployment and not allow hard working rovers fans to pay his dole money
Mercer Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 So then, if we get a bit of a beating tomorrow at Fulham, how likely will it be that Mr Kean is joining the Dole queue at some point next week...? I think he will be gone irrespective of the result tomorrow. What Philip & BPF have come out with tonight reaffirms what I heard earlier today. If the players have got wind of this then the chances of a performance tomorrow are even less.
chaddyrovers Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Shearer is not the man for the Rovers. I wouldn't be surprise if AS did become manager. Also didn't BPF say a couple of months ago, that if kean didn't work out that he wouldn't be surprise if the owners wanted for Shearer. Why haven't none of the national newspapers pick up on what is going on at rovers or even the local LT. If Fred and Howard Walker did buy the club back? when would this happen and how long? also who would they wanted as manager
roverwhelmed Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I think he will be gone irrespective of the result tomorrow. What Philip & BPF have come out with tonight reaffirms what I heard earlier today. If the players have got wind of this then the chances of a performance tomorrow are even less. Why? (Genuine question) Are you saying they would play badly purposely to result in Kean's sacking, which they would prefer?
Andy Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I just think we're dangerously close to an irrepairable situation and the sooner Kean is gone and replaced with any kind of competent and experienced manager, the greater chance we have of turning it around. And I stuck a fiver on him to be the next Prem manager at 50/1 last weekend
RibbleValleyRover Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Brace yourselves from the flak the pundits and media will throw our way if Kean does indeed get his P45. The media were constantly taking the ###### out out of the club when Sam was here, some moaning that his brand of football shouldn't be allowed in this league. Sam goes and there is a sudden change of tune, we see shock and outrage at the decision. The media will have a field day if we end up with our 3rd manager of the season. But if it keeps us up who cares?
sambo Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 What the hell is going on? Anyone care to give me a summary? My head hurts.
Blueboy Downunder Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 in a nutshell mate, i would think that mr kean is on borrowed time and that diego maradonna will soon be unveiled as our new boss!!
mattyc2422 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I know the owners decision making and PR has been awful early on, but to think we gave Kean a long term deal is baffling.
Bobby G Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Rollercoaster ride. I pray to God we win and he leaves, because there are far too few games left for us to lose one just to get rid of our manager.
mattyc2422 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Rollercoaster ride. This is like a band-aid; just tear the @#/? off and get on with it. Let Nelsen coach the side vs Fulham for all I care. (EDIT: Just remembered he is back in NZ, but I'd still prefer Ryan to coach via phone than Steve Kean at this point).
47er Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 This whole thread is mis-named. Steve Kean is manager but he has never "taken charge".
philipl Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Shearer was appointed about this time of the season and took Newcastle down with ne'er a whimper. Come on guys, let's have some realism around here! X equalling Shearer is the stuff of even worse nightmares- better to stick with Kean than appoint a pundit who takes vacuous to new voids.
chaddyrovers Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 It's wouldn't surprise me if the owners did appoint Shearer. I'm not saying he would be my choice but I know who I would appoint but i will keep that to myself.
imy9 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 The ONLY thing that matters today is 3 points. Forget about the performance, Kean, agents, potential new takeovers. We as a club and Venkys as a company I feel can deal with all the above but relegation may be fatal, so here is hoping and praying that we get three points today.
John Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 And to think if we win today it takes us into the top half of the table
Mattyblue Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 That's the rub John, a competent manager would have seen us thrive this season.
Kelbo Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I desperately want three points today, sadly this will be a smokescreen and we may be left with an incompetent manager for the foreseable future, the only hope is that Venkys can really see they have been duped by Anderson and Kean, what a tale they must have told the owners for them to allow this to happen!! We are threadbare on the coaching side so who goes in a caretaker role if Kean goes, Brunskill is no where near good enough and then we are left with basically Youth Team coaches, its a nightmare. As for taking positives out of a game as Kean says, yes you can, but you should also look at the negatives and see how much they out weigh the positives, it then tells you we are in the mire!!

Tony Parkes.
Kelbo Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Tony Parkes. Strangley enough, was speaking with him two weeks ago at a golf driving range in Rishton!! Did you know he recommended Charlie Adam to Rovers before blackpool signed him? He works as a scout for rovers now and travels abroad quite a bit!
bonerdude Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 tell him to get back on a plane over here and save us again.......tony parkes ... a true rover
BPF Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 To the person that asked: I am confident that not only can Venkys not support us in th Championship, they have no desire to. The Premier League money is something like 60% of the core business, without that they will be looking to rid themselves of us and then whoever comes next will have a whole lot of debt to pick up before owning us. Make no mistake, relegation could easily destroy Blackburn Rovers.
