BRFC1995 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 just took 3 attempts to place a bet in anger on kean at 5/1, was hoping it was'nt a glitch and the bugger had already gone

hermitstool Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I'm sorry, this is Kean's "Wigan Away". Time to go: -Eleven points from thirty-six is unacceptable. -The team selections are inexcusable. -Three wins out of 12 league games??? -Conceding four away to Wigan? -Hammered at Villa? -Keith Andrews. This all adds up to an instant sacking in my eyes. I know i'll be derided for making a knee-jerk call but surely the evidence above is overwhelming. If the board (if such a thing still exists at Rovers) or the owners don't act now our beloved, famous club is finished, and their investment is a total failure. They have clearly stretched their financial means to afford us if what one reads is to be believed so they must do everything in their power to save their investment. Notice how I described it? I don't think the owners share our passion for the club, but as a business decision maybe they will take action. Who to replace Kean? For me, O'Neill is the only available man with the experience to turn things round at this late stage. Well, there is Big Sam... but that's not going to happen in a month of hell frozen over Sundays. What of the expense of sacking Kean? NOTHING compared to the financial repercussions of relegation (with no parachute payments).
LeChuck Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 He doesn't know how to organise a football team. Even in the 'honeymoon period' we could all see we were gifting a ridiculous amount of chances per game. Leave the club and don't come back.
Andy Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I've already got a fiver on at 50-1 but I'm really tempted to put something bigger on at 5-1 before the odds fall even further or before he is actually sacked...
broadsword Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Never mind that bald clunt (yes, I spelt that correctly), get the Pune Prunes out. If Kean goes, they'll just appoint another no-hoper on the cheap.
philipl Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 The one good thing is that we do have a squad that is good enough to stay up based on today's performance. We just need a manager.
Exiled_Rover Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Good god, how do you people deal with the day to day troubles of life? You're all acting like we got thumped by Fulham and it's time to jump off a bridge. Jesus.

Hekla Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 The one good thing is that we do have a squad that is good enough to stay up based on today's performance. We just need a manager. Yes you are completely correct. The squad has very good young talent and decent experience. We need an organised manager who the players will respect. We must do something.
danielwhite813 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Yep he has to go now. Our squad is better than what we are showing.
hermitstool Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 There is already a thread for Steve Kean discussion. Please do not multiply threads unnecessarily. Sorry, emotion got the better of me! But it did seem to be a fairly significant change of topic from the start of this somewhat cumbersome thread. Oops.
BPF Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 You are completely deluded if you cannot see that this is largely down to management. It is a TOTAL JOKE that Kean was ever made manager. He needs to be removed from his post immediately.
Billy Castell Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Karl should be sacked within the hour. I know that there not be someone immediately available, but even the statue of Jack Walker can do a better job. Right now I'd not even be bothered if Maranutter took over. It does not matter if we played a bit better. We lost, and our manager is clueless.
RibbleValleyRover Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 You are completely deluded if you cannot see that this is largely down to management. He's a big factor but the quality in the squad also plays a huge part.
hermitstool Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 You are completely deluded if you cannot see that this is largely down to management. It is a TOTAL JOKE that Kean was ever made manager. He needs to be removed from his post immediately. I really couldn't agree more that Kean must go, though I suspect that if, or surely when, Venkys act on this dire situation it should be today. This club of ours, whom we have all poured so much emotion, passion and of late despair into, cannot afford morally or financially to rest on its laurels. We need a new, experienced, manager in as soon as physically possible. The new man must have the opportunity to spend as much of the next fortnight before the Blackpool 6-pointer moulding the team into not only a team, but THEIR team. As for who the manager should be? As I said before, ideally O'Neill. Given Venky's propensity towards leasing players, is it possible they'd look to appoint a manager who wouldn't normally consider Rovers (not least in this position) on a ten-game mandate to save the club?? Stranger things have happened, been alleged, and been rumoured ever since the takeover!
Backroom Tom Posted March 5, 2011 Backroom Posted March 5, 2011 Pretty sure he wont go, he will speak to the Rao's and point out the refereeing decision and claim it's all down to that. This is getting desperate we are self destructing at the wrong time.
Bobby G Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Time is running out. Only 9 games left. 3 wins achievable right now, but not for much longer. I dont know who I hate more, Ince or Kean. I actually felt sorry for Ince. For Kean, due to "circumstances", I feel almost nothing.
Hasta Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 He's a big factor but the quality in the squad also plays a huge part. So why sack a manager who is getting the most out of them during the season and bring someone in who has no experience and no clout in the transfer window. Just as Kean is to blame for keep picking Andrews, ultimately Venkys are to blame for appointing Kean. They need to pull the trigger now.
BRFC1995 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 if everyone is already resigned to losing pretty much all the remaining 9 fixtures it does'nt matter that there is no obvious manager to step in, JUST CHANGE SOMETHING, maradona, tea lady, jack straw, dunny(finished as a player), or quite obviously TONY PARKES
True Blue & White Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Dear Bill Gates, instead of giving half your wealth to charity there is a far more pressing issue that needs to be addressed. You need to give the Rao family £80m and a free copy of Wndows Vista to buy Blackburn Rovers FC as a great team is dying.
