According to paul plunkett twitter page that Samba has been strpped of the captai armband.

Great decision Kean! We need Samba on the pitch and leader from the front. All this is going to do is make him leave.

Samba is one of our BEST player!

This coupled with sticking together isnt a good sign.

He's only publicly said he doesnt like the way the club is being run. Dont think that its too much for a captain to say. Not the best man management in my opinion especially 48 hours after saying he's put a smile back on Samba's face. So either he has been taking lessons in the art of speaking from Venky's or something doesnt make sense.

It was expected surely? As a captain you can't come out with the comments Chris did about wanting away.

Whether it is a good decision or not will depend on how much influence Chris has with the rest of the players and the respect his successor commands. My money is on Nelsen being given the armband.
