Didn't you do the same with Di Santo after the Burnley game?

KEANO KEANO SIGN HIM UP!!

Im not sure - but if I did, it was after legend status following a derby goal.

Mame has shown much more so far, and like I said with 6 goals already, despite not playing much upfront - he hasnt done bad. He also really seems to be enjoying it - and it would seem a shame to lose him.

You just cream yourself over anyone who implies they quite like the club though don't you? Di Santo didn't achieve 'legend' status with anyone but you Hughesy, it was a header from one yard out. You just spent 6 months having a good tug because he kissed the badge afterwards.

Its a word, get over yourself will you - rather than trying to hang off every post to gain reputation points.

As for having a tug....thats more relevant to keyboard warriors like you - I have a very nice missus thanks.

To be honest, Hughesy, he doesn't have to try very hard.

So do I - but sometimes it's just more fun to sneak a crafty one out. Don't pretend you don't do it!

A lengthy piece on Mame Diouf by Andy Cryer in the LT confirms Rovers would consider trying to sign him permanently this window but are " waiting for more clarity on their new owner’s vision for the club, including future transfer budgets, before being able to make definite plans "

Most interestingly, it says Man U cannot recall him in January- I had heard that they were looking to pull him back if they could following Sam's sacking so it looks like Rovers got themselves a decently worded contract when BMD signed. One of the advantages of having John Williams handle that side of things.

Good news on Diouf MKII

Hughesy lad, have you seen my 'reputation?'

You'd have to post a thousand times a day for me to get back into the green.

So, if you can add an extra 50 onto your daily average...

Back on topic, now. My patience is wearing thin and I used to like a little meandering if it was funny, but sadly this isn't. So grow up and behave (or at least go in play in ICBINF, where we can be more tolerant)

id like to sign mame on a permanent basis for the right price he's done well for us this season and 6 goals so far is not bad at all considering his main position is a striker and under sam was mostly playin on the wings, shows a great attitude as a footballer towards games and i do think he would be a good player for us.

Depends on his price and availability, but I'd sign him. He clearly has potential and is at a very young age. He's much better than Di Santo ever was or will be.

Reflecting on what Mrs Desai said about leasing players, there could well be a move to get MBD signed permanently this window to clear up the second slot for a loanee.

However, given the vindictive way Ferguson removed the loan players from PNE yesterday, I think Rovers/Kentaro are whistling in the wind if we hope to get any help from Old Trafford at the moment.

There's a distinct difference between the two situations though isnt there, Sam was fergies pooch, Darren is his son.

Ah! but Sam knew the way to a man's heart, tea anyone. ;)

You mean set your team up to roll over and get thumped 7-1

Another performance to back up the calls to sign him permanently id say!

Worked his socks off, excellent control & superb ball for Olsson to score the 1st.

Sod the marquee signing, we should be keeping him permanently.

I'm amazed at how hard he works, and how much he seems to care. He's everything you could ask for in a Rovers player to be honest.

I've been saying since the start of the season I like the look of this lad and in the right system (i.e. two up front) he'd shine.

Nah, actually he's crap. We'll take him off your hands for 500k Fergie.

If you look at United's squad, its going to be difficult for him to get a game there. He's obviously behind Berbatov, Rooney and the young Mexican lad. Probably behind Wellbeck too and maybe Macheda.

I'd love to have him here. Gives 100% every game, chases lost causes, plays with a smile on his face and to top it all off has pace, skill and he can finish too.

He's young, but everything points to him being an extremely good player in a few years time.
