John Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Looks a very good player who would improve, sign him up if possible.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 6, 2011 Moderation Lead Posted January 6, 2011 Yup, improving majorly with each game and as Manure seem to have too many strikers- SIGN HIM UP!
Majiball Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I think we should wait on this one. I admire his work ethic and from a physical perspective he's perfect for this league, but technically he's quite poor at times. I'd rather see where he is at the end of the season and then consider it.

Wait & IF he shows he's good enough - then his price rockets!
Look4Me Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Sorry if its already been mentioned but how much did united pay for the lad? I've looked through some old articles and although the fee was undisclosed, it was speculated that it was quite big, rising to 5 million. The directors at his old club Molde said that they got a lot more than they expected.

Yes and I remember his far post miss with no pressure and only and firm contact needed to send it into the back of the net. Lets see how he gets on playing more centrally and with a partner and take things from there as at the end of the day he's ours till the end of the season. He's got little to no chance of breaking in at United and Fergie will want a serious fee regardless of when/if we move for him.

The first was a superb cross that hit him with literally no time for him to react. The other was a deflected shot that went a long way in the air and to hit that first time accurately is difficult without any pressure let alone in the middle of a match. To hit it at all and get power on it was pretty remarkable.

If I'm making a run to the back post with players in between me and the ball, then I should be ready for that ball to come through and expecting it to do so. Its wait and see for me as whilst he's shown some good moments he shown some poor ones as well. Perhaps with more playing time he can get back in the swing of things as he's never really got a run in the EPL.
niggit Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 They paid 4m for him, and would want to try make a profit if he plays well. Cant see him been too cheap.
robbo_rovers Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Why was Diouf not even on the bench on saturday? Seems to have fallen down the pecking order a bit. A bit harsh in my opinion, been pretty good this season, especially over the last couple of months.
Amo Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I can't imagine Mame would be dropped for footballing reasons. Maybe something behind the scenes?
AHoyle90 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Something to do with the Allardyce sacking and Fergie/Sam being best mates? I don't know. Maybe he has hinted we won't have a chance of signing him on a permanent at the end of the season, which would be a shame. I don't think he is Man Utd quality, but he is certainly an asset to us, 100% commited and contributes to the team.
John Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I know he is erratic/inconsistent however I would like to see him more involved (compared with what he has been). Still raw as a player, but can make things happen because of his pace/power - thought he has looked promising in some games.

I agree, looked a decent player at times but has lacked consistency too, probably his age to blame there.
