RevidgeBlue Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Well it seems pretty clear to me that it must have been Sam who wanted Boyd & Geovanni all along then. Or they were made up by the LT as part of their dummies out of the pram spat when Sam was sacked. Actually wasn't it Sam who was linked very strongly with Boyd in the summer?

Roverall Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 And it would be worth it, having a magnetic foot is a sight worth seeing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xsA-Lo-xJo&feature=related I just slavered a litre of drool all over my keyboard!
67splitscreen Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 One last thing... The media continue their hatred. I guess they won't want to be at the pressy (Venky's style) when we sign him then.
Presty On Tour Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Ronaldinho is a player that would make Ewood a full house every game. If by the slim chance it happens, my god we are in for something special.
dr_awol Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I just slavered a litre of drool all over my keyboard! sure it was only drool???
Seggie Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 One last thing... The media continue their hatred. It seems the reporter is annonymous, probably going to report on immigration issues or Princess Diana next
Hughesy Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Sam wanted Boyd in the summer - sure nicko has put that on here before.
cn174 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Ronaldinho is a player that would make Ewood a full house every game. Are you sure about that?!
tony gale's mic Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Ronaldinho is a player that would make Ewood a full house every game. If by the slim chance it happens, my god we are in for something special. If we got another 5,000 in every game (very possible if he joined), that'd give us an extra £100,000 a game and an extra £2 million a year in gate receipts alone. That's not taking into account merchandising, possibly better sponsorship deals etc etc.
Steve Moss Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 So those are the main runners and riders. Who knows what tomorrow brings, but I think Roque and Adam are the two that the manager describes as close. Ronaldinho is a separate 'project.' Personally, if we only got Adam I would count the transfer window a success. Add Ronalinho and I would be doing a jig. I have no opinion on RSC, as I fear he is a walking sick note. -----Robbo----- Givet-Nelsen-Samba-Salgado MGP-Adam-Hoillett Kalinic-RSC-Ronnie Shouldn't Givet and Salgado, and MGP and Hoilett, be switched around? But other than that, I agree it would be an effective line up. Potentially top 6.

The fact that the bid has been tabled, there's been no rejection (yet) and Desai is giving interviews tomorrow has me tingling.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 One last thing... The media continue their hatred. The Mail seem to have had a particular downer on us ever since Ince was appointed. Not sure why, notwithstanding that particular appointment didn't turn out to be successful. If it was City/United/Arsenal/Liverpool/ Spurs etc trying to pull off this move I'd wager it would be described as a "bold and audacious move."
Tom 1 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Id be really pleased with Roque and Adam were I a Blackburn fan, two good signings. Good stuff.
Seggie Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Ronaldinho is a player that would make Ewood a full house every game. If by the slim chance it happens, my god we are in for something special. Im not convinced, Ewood even at our most successful and with offers at £10 a ticket we have never consistantly filled the ground. I think Venkys know this and it will be the lure of overseas TV money thats driving the deal. I hope it does though as a sold out hyped up Ewood is better than most atmospheres Ive experienced in England
jim mk2 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Maybe it's because the Mail and Sun have reporters who know this is a ludicrous story that should be treated with contempt.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Id be really pleased with Roque and Adam were I a Blackburn fan, two good signings. Good stuff. Tom, I thought Warnock was superb for us and would have him back in a shot. Was it you who said he'd been terrible for Villa?
jim mk2 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Id be really pleased with Roque and Adam were I a Blackburn fan, two good signings. Good stuff. Adam would be a good signing. Given his injury record, Roque would be a joke.
TimmyJimmy Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 If this window finishes with us buying Ronaldinho and no one else it will have been a disaster. Our season is not going to effected by adding Ronaldinho to the team alone, he's overweight, old and motivated by money. Odds are he'll pull up injured the next time it gets cold and snows. Plugging him into the current squad of average talent that we have in most positions will be pointless. We need the likes of Adams to make a real impact. Three or four players of his ilk and then Ronaldinho would be a real result, the icing on the cake so to speak. But you know as well as I do that Ronaldinho alone will make diddly squat difference to our relegation struggle - yes we are in one when the games in hand unwind. BPF mentioned bad news if Ronaldinho is not signed, not sure we are the same page BPF but if we are then failing to sign him will be a happy day - well for me at least. If the Venkys do read this board then for the love of G*d get the Adams of this world signed up first then do the publicity stuff second. If you truly love the club give the club what it needs first and what Venky's needs second.
HemelRover Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Maybe it's because the Mail and Sun have reporters who know this is a ludicrous story that should be treated with contempt. Sod off and go to bed.
Mercer Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Ronaldinho is a player that would make Ewood a full house every game. Don't think so. Hate to say it but Rovers supporters are not a passionate lot and not in the same league as the likes of Newcastle, Leeds or even Burnley. You only need to look at our poor away followings.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Given his injury record, Roque would be a joke. Yet he was supposedly messiah Sam's main target.........
sparkspakespoke Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Adam would be a good signing. Given his injury record, Roque would be a joke. I can think of a bigger joke grandad...
Valois Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 RSC on loan is fine, as no risk involved if it goes tits up, just depends on how much City want us to contribute towards his salary. Would still like another ball winning midfielder in as well as RSC and Adam, Ronnie obviously, and a young right back. ___________Robbo Salgado Samba Nelsen Ollson Hoilett Nzonzi Adam MGP __________Ronnie _______________RSC
deryck guyler's spoon Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Don't think so. Hate to say it but Rovers supporters are not a passionate lot and not in the same league as the likes of Newcastle, Leeds or even Burnley. You only need to look at our poor away followings. Wrong thread, so I'll keep it short. Burnley? Short memory Mercerman.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Ronaldinho is a player that would make Ewood a full house every game. Maybe, maybe not. That would surely be insignificant though in comparison to the possibility of opening up revenue streams overseas.
