A 10000 leap in gates? No chance. possibly there would be an initial spike in interest, but for the rest of the season and beyond... highly doubtful.

There is SCOPE for that level of improvement.

Let's be fair I can't think of many if any players who would fill a ground like he would - or Beckham.

There is SCOPE at Rovers because of the level of the gates...I can see that side of the logic.

Plus the football would be better and the chanes of results better.

What's not to like if it comes off?

Put it this way, we would take him at Firhill.

It's down to one thing. If he wants money he comes to Rovers, if he fancies the easy life he goes to Brazil - or the MLS.

If he is in semi-retirement, you don't want him anyway.

I just hope the answer is quick.

I think its more accurate to say if he wants a little MORE money. Cause its not like the Brazilians are paying him peanuts.

Unless we are offering twice as much, there is no way it would make a difference (financially speaking).

Its a shame cause at 30, and the start to the season he had this year, he looks motivated to perform. Maybe Brazil is the safest option under the eyes of the Selecao manager.

That would mean an average of 33000-34000! Positive spin if ever there was one. We cannot even get 31000 in. Is Ewood going to adopt Indian railways methods and sit any excess on the stand rooves?

I think your last gates have edged above 20,000. The capacity is officially above 31,000.

Hvae you been in the golf club too long?

Or are certain pre-judged ideas and philospophies too hard to deal with?

There is no way in the world that Ronaldinho could get similar money GUARANTEED in Brazil as he would get at Rovers.

He would be 34 [?] by the time of the next World Cup finals...do you think that is a real motivation?

It's the beach or Blackburn.

Signing a 19 year old, lightweight, short Spanish striker must surely not be higher on the agenda than say a right back or a defensive midfielder? Hardly the proven scorer were apparently trying to find. Saying that, any product of the Barcelona youth system would be a joy to watch at Ewood, it just seems strange he's high up on the list.

salgado should have a word with beckham - apparntly they were best mates at real madrid

how can anyone say they wouldnt want ronaldinho ??? hes a top class player - he would also help the club in attracting better players ...im all for this one - but still something tells me it wont happen .

If the deal went through pretty quickly, then a half season ticket becomes an interesting option for many I'd guess. Doubt there would be 10k worth, but maybe a couple of thousand. On top of that walk-ons would be up, and it would probably lead to more away fans as well - I'd expect even Fulham would have brought more than the usual 67 fans if Ronnie had been at Ewood when they played us.

Still can't see it happening but if it did, I'd be surprised if we were sub 27k at any match this season.

I think Beckham is second on the list to Ronaldinho.

Would a potential Beckham deal come down to whether or not he makes more money here than at Spurs? Probably not, I don't think we have much chance there if the Tottenham interest is real.

So who's third on the list? :D

That's not stopped you posting the same rubbish about Labour winning the next election on ICBINF for months has it?

At least that thread proves you have it in you to dream like the rest of us, whatever you think of the Ronaldinho bid ....

In my opinion there is little doubt that Labour will win the next election. The coilition solution is far too draconian to go down well with voters wether or not it is the right way to go.

What has this got to do with the transfer window?

I don't think we've ever averaged more than 20-21k HOME fans though have we? Hence potential scope for 10k extra.

Have to agree I'm sceptical as to whether the acquisition of Ronaldinho would increase attendances at Ewood to that extent. But surely that would be secondary to the increased exposure overseas etc.

Beckham would be on loan for a maximum of 11 games. Ms. Desai said a three year deal has been tabled for Ronnie.

Surely that is why more work is going into the Ronaldinho transfer right now.

Nicko, I have a question.

By publicizing our targets does that mean we are already on course to sign them or is it a course of premature talking?

I mean Venkys twitter supposedly said we are talking to sign Adam. Are we actually speaking to Blackpool?

And Mrs Desai mentions Duff. Have we begun talking to Fulham or is it a case of telling the world who is on our list before we got the ball rolling?

Surely its now just down to Ronaldinho making a decision... The length of time it takes for him to make that decision is irrelevant...??

Descending to immature insult as usual when you are backed into a corner Alan? Rest assured your type would never get past the door at my club. :P

Like most in your profession you will avoid facts like the plague but anyway ........

or

Current average given as almost 24000 and we haven't had our usual top attractions of Lpool and MU here yet. Scope therefore for 7000 at the very best. Not to be sniffed at for sure but never let the facts get in the way of a good story eh?

Where does it say he fears it is becoming less likely?

"Day by day it is looking further away rather than closer but I hope by QPR we will have held a press conference to announce we have some more bodies in.

All that means is that every day that passes is another day we have to wait to make any signings.

Not that the chance of a particular signing happening is diminishing.

Don't know if it's relevent to anything or not but the mere possibility of signing Ronaldinho has had 3-400 users scanning this topic at all hours of day and night.

And that's before he's even signed with no-one believing it will really happen. So imagine the interest if he did actually sign.

Mrs D has seen 2 live cricket matches and never been to a live game of football, but she will be over here shortly to take in a game. She is surrounded by football experts her brother is know as the 'indian hansen' over there so its all good, she also has exceptional listening powers and plans to help fight crime in the blackburn area using her superpower for good.

Can you confirm or deny that she will be teaming up with Thinking Man? Believed to be the crime-fighting alter ego of Steve Kean.
