Yes I am sure. Spoke to a huge season ticket holder friend of mine from the club. His words, "doesnt regularly play for the B team yet, and is considered too young". He isnt on the list of Barcelona players waiting to breakthrough in next 1-2 seasons either. Its more like 3-5 seasons with him. Rochina is a mainstay of the C team and looking to become a regular squad member of the B team anytime now.

Next batch in order of potential Thiago, Fontas (Pique clone), Romeu, Baltra (Pique clone II), Jonathan dos Santos & Sergio Roberto.

You said that he hadn't played for the B team yet. Which is blatently wrong. He last played for them two days ago (link), and according to his Wiki has played 25 games for them.

I'm not trying to claim that he's the next superstar or anything, but you should perhaps listen to what your friend actually says. "doesn't regularly play" does not mean "has never played for".

People in the know feeding some lines to sky then!

If Mrs D is to be believed I don't see how Gremio could compete. If he goes to the club because he wants to play for them over the money then the guy deserves more credit than I gave him before.

Keen's sumation that the longer it goes on the less likely it is seems about right. If he wants the money then he will make a play for it quickly, unless Mrs D wants to give him the "increased offer" she so willingly talked about.

Could also be that he is waiting for other rich clubs to throw money at him. If he wants Gremio, regardless of money, why not just sign today?

Ronnie might have had a chat with Beckham and said "if you go, I'll go" We might just be waiting on that (being Rovers financial package to Beckham/LA Galaxy)

Ronaldinho is talking to Gremio today.

So he hasn't signed for anyone yet.

There are some halfwits at Sky.

They spent the first half of yesterday denying it, then confirming it.

There is a bit more life in this tale.

As Milan's VP is in Brazil, is it wrong to presume he has given Ronaldinho permission to talk to Gremio which in the normal world of transfers means there is an AC/Gremio deal?

I appreciate this is not the normal world though.

Den look at the blokes career, it's not as if he's in some deep lull. He's 30, and yet to have a bad season. Injury has resulted in him passing the torch to Robinho this season, but injuries have been few and far between in his career.

His figures are readily available, read them and tell us there not impressive; Every season.

If Ronaldinho signs for us Shillts, I'll be as fascinated as the rest of you. It would be fantastic going down to Ewood to watch someone who was one of the best players in the world.

That doesn't mean that I think it's the right thing to do though. Too many potential problems with it all and the signing would be for the wrong reasons - IMO. Let's get back to signing quality players who have hunger for the game and players who are actually what we need. To me, this is all just one big sideshow.

If it was the marquee signing that people suggest, with the intentions of attracting the best players in Britain or Europe, then fair enough. But we aren't going to attract those players down here, are we! This is all about publicity.

I think that's a fair reflection of how I see it.

I did correct that with the post immediately after! He is largely a sub who comes on. Hence I used "regularly" in the post after. I got a bit carried away with the initial post and wasnt clear!

Fair enough Den, I see where you're coming from.

My counter argument would be that as far as the best players we could sign, Ronaldinho is pretty much at this moment in time the pinnacle we could reach. Admittedly he won't get better, but he's only 30, and having him in the team isn't going to harm our chances in attracting other players in the present or future transfer windows.

I think overall it can only be seen as a good thing, playing wise and growth as a club wise.

Ronaldinho's agent has been speaking to three other clubs - with permission allegedly - for the past few weeks,

.

The AC Milan chap probably fancies a good last night out with Ronnie.

Ronaldinho is a bonus. Lets not hinge our Transfer window on whether he arrives. Also, lets not have any of the more negative posters come running on here telling us that they knew he wouldnt come.... Nobody is expecting him to arrive, its always been a long shot and it was always likely that he'd go elsewhere.

If he doesnt come there is nothing lost.

Our most significant signings are the ones Kean has identified, regardless of the Ronaldinho situation.

was Rovers one of them?

the bigger stumbling block with ronnie, is that no one else in the team is a clever enough footballer to be on his wavelength.

who's he going to pass it to?

I agree. On two conditions. Firstly, if its supplemented by the signings we NEED. Secondly, and possibly more pertinent, if its DOABLE in the first place. We havent really had any quotes or comments from Ronnie's side about our interest or what they think of it, as opposed to their views on returning to Brazil, etc...

I hope if we do sign Ronnie that Steve Kean takes a leaf out of Sams book & beds him in correctly

To spend the money that is being suggested & not providing the player with everything he needs to set up a life in Blackburn would be a complete waste

Lets hope Matt Hockin still knows where the best helecopter launch pads in the area are!!!

Galliani? That would be a sight. Him and Ronaldinho out partying!

Didn't you use to have a signature (or someone had one that quoted you) along the lines of "buy Championship quality players, you'll end up in the Championship"?

Well that never happened, despite the best efforts of various managers in the last 10 years. Or was this a long term prediction of Ronnies arrival and your assessment he's not of Premier League player?

Oh, and no, I don't think he'll turn up at Ewood. But for all the years of down playing expectations, under spending, and signing Keith Andrews, just tabling a bid for someone of Ronaldinho's stature - regardless of how weirdly they did it - must generate a degree of positivity ?

I'll readily admit to being a pessimist when it comes to Rovers Ed, I don't get as disappointed, as often that way.

Sorry, that link doesn't work. Read my post above.

I agree Adam has been alarmingly over-rated. Decent passer of the ball, and the only good footballer in a VERY average Blackpool team.

My money would be on Blackpool rather than us to avoid the drop. They have a very good manager who knows what he's doing and has 'free' reign.

Reports coming from Brazil claim he is close to sign for Palmeiras.

But all is talk of people involved and the final word will always be his and of AC Milan.

What's taking him so long if he wants go back to Brazil? He will know there is not a bunch of money over there anyway.

My take is that because he seemingly can't decide, he is keen on more cash. That's where Rovers comes in. Would also love to know how far we are with Becks. Mrs. Desai seems pretty confident.

Breaking news on SSn, they have had contact from AC Milan saying they havent even received a bid from Blackburn yet?

Georgie Thompson breaking bad news kind of takes the edge of it though doesnt it.

I guess he is conflicted.

He wants to go back to Grêmio but apparently they don't have the money for him.

But, if he plays for another brazilian team, he will be consider as a traitor of Grêmio and will never finish his carreer there.

When he left Gremio for Europe, the brazilian team gained nothing with the transfer. If he choses another team over them, he will be badly treated by their supporters.

As far as i am aware, they are trying to get the player before dealing with the club!

You aren't a Rovers fan so I'm not holding your opinion in high regard.
