Nicko, based on everything you know, and despite Brazilian media reporting that Ronaldinho is offered over 100k a week by Palmeiras/Flamengo, how much of a difference financially are the packages?

I wonder who gave the Brazilian press those figures? Somebody close to Ronaldinho perhaps?

There can't be a package anywhere near the money on offer at Rovers.

No sponsor would fund any club to that extent in Brazil for the next two-and-a-half years. Too much can go wrong at that end.

The sensible thing would be for Ronaldinho to come here - for either a year or 18 months - and then head home.

Too blooming right it will end in tears.

The trouble is, there are very few on here who can see it, or choose not to, and those that can see it are shouted down or given all sorts of abuse.

Of course it probably will. Like Robinho at City in probability. In the unlikely event it comes off I expect that even his toothy grin would disappear when he's put Jason Roberts through for his 5th one-on-one and he misses it. Or Keith Andrews points at him. But do you know what, after years of scraping the bottom of the barrel at Aldi I think I might just enjoy the thought of shopping at Harrods for a while. Even if it is in the "last years model" section.

Nicko not seen this mentioned anywhere else but guy from the Telegraph, Daily not local, was suggesting the press conference with Kean was somewhat embarassing/bizarre and suggested Comical Ali is the new manager. Not seen anything in the press so wondered what your take was given you'd previously praised his press conference manner.

Snider.

Ignore.

Comical Ali for trying to get beckham and Ron. The reporter is trying to save face - he is hell bent on the "Rao said no interest in Ron" tale.

I'd be happy if the club shopped at Sainsbury's for good quality useful goods at reasonable prices. Charlie Adam comes into that category and would certainly be a bread and butter signing who would help us to avoid relegation, but the "marquee" signings fans are slavering over are little more than cream puffs - outwardly enticing yet of little real value and ultimately could be damaging to our long-term health.

Is that it after a hard days graft. No lunch break for emails. ;)

That's right. Educating the nations youth is hard work.

I did come on for a few minutes at lunch time actually but had to click off awfully quickly when a Brazilian's rather ample breasts filled my work laptop screen (Thanks for that whoever posted that a few pages back :P)

I have had an E-mail off a Brazilian with no breasts with a little update. I'm wary of saying anything in case I harm Nicko's story but I can say that Sky do seem to have got it wrong.

We can all see the pitfalls that may lie ahead we just don't feel the need to constantly snipe at other people because of it.

If you have recieved abuse it's because in all honesty in the last few weeks you have come accross as a bitter, nast person insulting people at every chance.

It's only football at the end of the day there is no need to cause rifts with fans of our own club (this is easy for me to say at the minute as my wife is expectant with our first born so Rovers stuff has been put into perspective)

BPF - thought you had decided to give up on the teaching and had applied for a green card to the good old US of A (off topic i know)

I hope we pull something BIG off....so i can flip the bird at many other teams' fans. I have had sooo much crap over the past three weeks it is beyond a joke!!!!

If we are going to sign Roque we might as well make a move for Bentley or another winger who can cross a ball.

Roque may be fit enough to play (though that in itself is debatable) but who then is going to create the chances for him? Adam if we get him? Centrally or from set pieces he would provide a creative spark but from the wings there is nobody in the side. Look at the season when Roque was world class, who was the one providing those clear cut chances? Nine times out of ten it was Bentley.

No point signing Roque if there isn't anyone to whip those balls into the box.

Why? Is he giving you percentages? Nicko writes stories for a living, he benefits from this site just as much as this site benefits from him.

I think :P

Anyway, spill the beans so I can sleep soundly.

The difference between Nicko and I is this...

Metaphorically, he receives the story on a beautiful piece of cream white A4, the font is perfectly scribed by a highly trained monk.

I receive the same piece of paper after it has been through the digestive system of the above Monk.

That's the nastiest post yet, so well done.

Good luck to your new-born. He'll have a lovely dad.
