Fantastic to see us using proper attacking wingers tonight and very impressed at the sheer effort shown. I'll tell you what though, we need to keep hold of Samba. I thought he was magnificent tonight.

I also have to say I thought Liverpool were absolutely shocking tonight. What a difference six months can make for Fernando Torres: July 2010 he was picking up the World Cup in South Africa, and January 2011 he is getting right royally sh@gged for 90 minutes by Chris Samba in rain-sodden East Lancashire.

Absolutely buzzing after this game! Running at full backs at pace, overlapping runs behind the defenders I'm overjoyed! Salgado also amazes me with his energy, his tackle in the first half against Konchesky had me on my feet, just the passion us fans love to see.

Samba was immense at the back, his runs always bring a smile to my face.

Football is a crazy game, I felt like crying after the game against Stoke today I'm on cloud nine. Oh well time to watch some ashes to further broaden my smile.

Pat on the back to Kean and all the boys.

The boys were brilliant. The evidence was there to see so I won't bother making a huge post, particularly in such a fast moving thread.

I have no idea if any of the doubters are online or not, so this paragraph could be moot, but it would be nice to see them posting and joining in with their support for the club. If somebody is steering clear of the forum tonight because they are disappointed to be proven wrong then I think that would be a shame. Let's show some support. It cannot be denied that this team (a very depleted one at that) can play football and have the organisation to mix it with top players.

Wow

Fantastic performance and some brilliant football.

Feel really harsh but didn't think Benjani did a lot (yeah I know he scored 2) but that might be because Mame Diouf ran everywhere. Was seriously impressed with him he's a constant thorn to a back four and his movement is first class.

We finally looked really dangerous with genuine pace. Happy days.

Things I tweeted to my ######-taking (and surprisingly quiet) Liverpool mates tonight

BRAZIL! It's just like watching brazil!

Considering Venky's paid less for Rovers than it would cost to buy Gerrard we're doing great! GET IN!

It IS Ronaldinho! Oh wait. It's BENJANIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!

:D :D :D

Benjani played some great balls, the linkup with Diouf for the second chance that Diouf missed (over the bar) was great, both of the worked really well together.

We looked dangerous every time Liverpool had a corner such was the quality of our counter attacking play.

We were fantastic today, felt Olsson was brilliant he was awesome going forward and protected Givet well and when he went off was when Liverpool started causing us problems by exploiting Givet who is not having a great time at LB at the moment. Hoillett was fantastic as well as was Benjani who took his first fantasticly and his second was a case of doing what a good striker should do by being in the right place at the right time. Dunn looked much better as well.

I would like to give some special praise to Mark Bunn who again looked like he belongs at this level, he didn't look like a reserve keeper, he made some decent stops, was out confidently when needed and looked to get play moving when he gained possession of the ball and seemed to have a decent Robboesque kick.

Somebody mentioned Ewoods atmosphere tonight, I love it when its like that and theres no better ground Ive been to than a buzzing Ewood I just wish we could create that every game.

I doubt any Rovers fan would be anything but elated with such a performance braddock, the 'negative' fans have some valid concerns and that is fair enough.

Superb tonight, Olsson and Junior- pace, skill and end product swung the game for us.

As one of very few posters on here who was indifferent to the sacking of Sam I have to admit to feeling somewhat smug (and merrily drunk) following tonight's game.

Delighted if I was was right about the need for a new direction.

Delighted if I was wrong about Benjani to whom I have given all sorts of dogs abuse. That finish was like Shearer tonight.

Delighted for Steave Kean.

Delighted for the new owners.

Delighted that Jack's legacy and our great club may be marching on.

Although dismayed we all know potentially less about football than an Indian businesswoman who had probably never seen a game until about two months ago.............NOT!

:rover::tu:

I fell back in love with "the beautiful game" tonight.

Grrr... Alan Curbishly just described Junior Hoilet's amazing run for the 3rd goal as........

"Another bit of bad defending by Liverpool." GOOD GRIEF!

Grrr... again

Is that the Alan Curbyerenthusiasm who has been on the short list for every job for the last four years. Been in meetings all day and I am feeling ###### without touching a drop after reading the thread.

Do you think the Venkys have supernatural powers of seeing into the future a season, and they are just playing with us.
