'you know whut?? I'm huppy.'

Just watched the match -- brillant match by one and all. So happy for the boys and Kean. Now, if we can only get off our present win-loss-draw-win-loss rollercoaster. COYBs!

On the subject of Sam, I think his legacy on the team is evident. I think we've been lucky to have some great managers in our time like Souness, Hughes and Allardyce. Each of them has contributed to the squad and strengthened it. Kean can now take over from where they left off and send us upwards. If we get the right signings in, then a top 10 finish is likely.

Are you not forgetting last season we finished in the top 10 with none other than Sam Allardyce, if we do finish in the top ten this season, it will be no doubt with thanks to Sam for his work in the first half of the season

For heaven's sake, praise through gritted teeth from the pro Sam brigade.

Last night was nothing like a Sam performance.

Players passing to each other on the floor, knowing which positions they should be in and running into space to receive passes. Plus using the full width of the pitch.

I don't appreciate your slander. My teeth aren't grit and I have never been pro-Sam. I have no reason to be. I couldn't care less about him until he joined us here. I call it as I see it, if that doesn't fit your sacred view of the world then that's your problem.

I'll praise and criticse the manager and the players, whoever they are, as I see fit and I have done. I've defended Sam in the past because some of the opinions of him on here are nothing short of biased and exaggerated.

Tired of saying this, but we had some great performances under Sam as well. If Kean delivers us exciting football week in, week out that will be great, but to disregard Sam's efforts and success for the club is just daft.

martin olsson....TAKE A BOW, YOUNG MAN :tu:

david hoilett....TAKE A BOW, YOUNG MAN :tu:

these two young lads, where absolutely sensational and their performances where nothing short of ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! their best games for rovers by an absolute country mile.

the whole squad where brilliant tonight. i can already see the marked difference between a team that sam would put out to play, and one that steve kean has now had 3 weeks to blend together and get them playing how he wants.

we aint gonna see this kinda performance every week, because it simply does not happen and because, that is football!!

Prior to the game, with 9 or so out - I thought a point would be a decent result, but expected Liverpools win against Bolton to give them confidence to beat them.

Well how wrong could I be - we played 4-4-2, wingers where given licence to attack with pace & both strikers worked as hard as possible.

Olsson MOTM for me - superb goal & also played a part in 3rd goal...he also whipped in some lovely crosses

Hoilett - Superb run for the 3rd, and unlucky not to add a 4th. Ran at his man more and more as the game went on - best game for us so far.

Benjani - tried all game & murdered the greek centre half in the 1st half...took his chances well & great 1st goal....showed his goalscoring ability if fit

Mame - Superb....none stop running, great awareness of other players & quality control when pulling the ball down to send Olsson clear....SIGN HIM UP

Salgado - None stop, top pro, bargain signing.

Rest of the team - solid & did very well.

Liverpool - as poor a Liverpool team as I can remember at ewood.

FANTASTIC RESULT - WELL DONE STEVE KEAN & the team.

The impression I got last night was that steve kean took the players off their lead. "show us what you can do" attitude.

Agreed about mame, Rovers should sign him up if it possible.

Liverpool may well have been a poor side, but they were playing against a team with many injuries and first team players out. Rovers bench was reserve players - that in it self should have given liverpool confidence. Thankfully the worse penalty ever seen v rovers imo.

I must admit before kick off I feared for Rovers - thankfully I was wrong.

A stark contrast to the ungentlemanly conduct by Gerrard at the end of the game.

The self styled "Mr Liverpool" disgracefully ran straight down the tunnel, no handshakes and not even a thank you and kiss my ar*e to the Liverpool support. Big Jessie

The old Blackburn End can still rouse itself on occasion! :)

Too True, be nice to keep up that level of noise for the rest of the season, must make a massive difference, the banter was awesome, spoke to a load of Liverpool mates last night who were truly shocked that our youngsters ripped them to bits and that we (Rovers supporters) were very noisy and getting stuck into them.

Thought the managers tactics, the players attitude and work rate, was first class last night, they all obviously wanted to play for the manager and us last night and hopefully we can move on from here.

Who's to say we wouldnt have?

????

Rubbish, we'd have played 1 up front.

Couldnt help but feel that he missed that penalty deliberately possibly to make a statement against the current management team.

Just a thought but it was so so high the penalty shot that the miss came across as a deliberate miss.

Well done lads and Steve Kean last night, great performance, lots of width which was pleasing to see and Juniors performance was brilliant, though I would have been disappointed if we had allowed a player to set up Benjanis second.

Bunn looked competant, Samba, looked as if he was playing slightly ahead of a back three to nullify Torres picking the ball up from deep. As for the substitutions, I would definately have brought EH Diouf on as Kean did to shore up the left hand side in the second half as thats where Liverpool were pressing us a bit!!

But hey, great result, great football and what a top pro Salgado is, for all his years at the top, he hasnt come here on a meal ticket, how about a player coach role at Ewood?

I have been critical of what has been happening at Rovers and the result has given us some encouragement for the future, however, dont get too far ahead of ourselves, some experienced coaches/managers from future opponents will have taken on board our performance and tactics and will be looking to prevent us playing that way, its how we react in the next games, the Liverpool game is gone now, it was enjoyable and brilliant 3 points.

Interesting that Kean seems to have our wingers sticking out wide as much as possible, created spaces for people to run the channels etc.

Like others have said - lots more movement and running with the ball too.

Think almost all the team at one point or another took on and beat a Liverpool player last night, can only think of Givet maybe, and Nelsen not doing this but the rest definitely. Its something the fans love to see, players running with the ball beating players creating and scoring goals, great to see.

Completely different class last night, i know Liverpool were poor but we were a joy to watch. I've forgotten what it's like to see attractive attacking football at Ewood Park hats off to Steve Kean for bringing that back.

The fans were also brilliant last night, and how quiet were the scousers when they went down?

Highlight of the night for me was Steven Gerrards penalty miss, classic moment.

Guest Walshy

Can I make a suggestion to BRFC, the blackburn end last night was so vocal because the darwen ends fans had been moved into the blackburn end and last night the blackburn end was the loudest it has been in quite a few seasons. I saw a big group I used to sit with in the darwen end last night in the upper tier blackburn end

Have to agree with that - Only he's good enough to run Liverpool.
