Don't know if it's already been mentioned but a full re-run of the game is on LiverpoolTV, which is apparentley free on Sky at least. It's on now and again at 7pm for anyone who may have missed it/want to watch it all again. :)

Prior to the game, with 9 or so out - I thought a point would be a decent result, but expected Liverpools win against Bolton to give them confidence to beat them.

Well how wrong could I be - we played 4-4-2, wingers where given licence to attack with pace & both strikers worked as hard as possible.

FANTASTIC RESULT - WELL DONE STEVE KEAN & the team.

What? nothing to do with how much Liverpool have spent compared to us Hughesy?

The one area where I think we need to make a couple of quality signings is in central midfield. We badly need a specialist defensive midfield player who can sit in front of the back four and stop people running at our centre backs. We also need a fitter, younger version of Dunny, someone who can act as a playmaker and get forward and score goals. I must admit that I would love to see Charlie Adam at the club - far more than Ronaldinho or Beckham.

No truer words Pb and I concur

For those arguing the sake re SA & SK - just take fact of the matter that our strikers appear to be scoring again - any coincidence ? :tu:

Am I the only one who found the Blackburn End a bit quiet at times? I was in there and apart from after the goals, thought it was a bit stale, especially in the first twenty minutes. Maybe it's just because it's been a while since not EVERYONE around me has been singing around me (in the small DE corner where the singers are packed together).

Really enjoyed the 'we sing you sing' bit in the second half

Stand up if you've won the league! :brfcsmilie:

There was only about 20 of us stood with the St. John's Ambulance crew ;) It was a good laugh but difficult to get any songs going, great banter with the scousers though and one did a cut throat gesture to me

Nzonzi, Kalinic, Roberts and Jones were in the box behind us, we sung something like half our team's in there, half our team's in there (pointing to the box) how s**t must you be? Half our team's in there.

Diouf warming up in front of the Liverpool fans was quality, he was waving his arms and sticking his fingers up, I think he was referring to how many goals we'd put past 'em.

Fantastic game, I can't wait to watch it again on Liverpool TV @ 19:00.

The best bit for me last night was when the Blackburn End sang, 'Keano, Keano, give us a wave'(and he did), 'Steve Kean's Blue & White Army' and 'Keano, Keano!'

The players had already shown they are fully behind the manager and then the fans endorsed that fact.

It must have been a weight off his shoulders and I'm really pleased for him. :brfc:

I'm taking credit for getting them going :rover:

Don't believe in rumours.

Rovers to win 4-1

Seriously cannot believe what I'm watching. Lost for words. Never ever in million years could anyone in their right mind predict this.

I assure you I'm not insane despite what others on this MB may think.

An hour before KO I just had a feeling that we would whupp them. Didn't get the score quite right, though.

What impressed me most was the open football we played. The players looked like they were reveling in it. They had been given the freedom of the park and grabbed it eagerly.

We won't win every game playing like this but watching it is so refreshing. I'd almost forgotten what it's like.

From my experience do we have one of the quietest least vocal fans at Ewood?

From your experience i am not 100% sure, But from my experiences we have a great crowd most of the time, Even though we havent been able to get too excited over the last few seasons (edge of your seat stuff i mean),

Excellent win last night but lets not forget that Liverpool until they very flukily beat Bolton on Sat and we lost to Sunderland were below us in the Prem. Liverpool by their previous standards are a dysfunctional misfiring outfit with no outstanding players.

Torres Liverpool career must surely be coming to an end soon. He reminds me of Benny Mac season 1 and Benny Mac season 3. If Torres had scored the fantastic goal that Benjani slammed past Reyna we'd be watching and hearing about it for the rest of the season.

Gerrard proved that he is simply the decent club player that I have always said he was, his reputation is built as a result of nothing but one match in Istanbul a happy knack of scoring memorable goals and frenzied media hype. He does not ever control a game and he is not and never will be the Midfield General that we are continually spoon fed by Hanson, Lawrenson etc. If he was he'd have cemented his own position in both Liverpool and England instead of continually making way for other players and filling in the midfield.

That said well done to manager and players again. 4-4-2 but the first goal ironically straight off last managers top shelf. Hoillets MoM could easily have been given to Salgado / Samba / Nelsen imo. Pederson was quiet going forward, understandably so, but very effective in the less eye catching, needs must role of nullifying Gerrard and Cole in midfield. Dunny played well too putting in many tackles on the same two above which the manager must have insisted on until he inevitably tired and just about managed to walk off unaided. For the first 60 minutes Olsson and the two strikers were on fire. On the down side Givet was last nights biggest disappointment by allowing Johnson and Cole too many opportunities to get the ball across hence my respect for the two centre halves.

A superb performance and with the biggest difference last night being the subs. Injuries and finances have left us scraping the bottom of the barrel and our subs were much 'weaker' than Liverpools and it showed massively as each one came on. (wtf was going on with Goulon? We needed him to play deep not centre forward). I was mighty nervous when that penalty was given and mighty relieved when it was blazed over.

Forget Ronaldinho, Beckham and BIG name signings. Lets just find a Scott Parker, a Wilson Palasios a new Robbie Savage or Flitty or even a Vince Grella with a different body and mind set. Last night we were crying out for one such player.

Good analysis drogie-style. On da money.

Couldn't agree more, I think the last 20 minutes was more down to tiredness than anything else, and lets not forget we had a numbers of players out.

Its also encouraging to see passing and moving and not long hoofs into the channels at the earliest opportunity. Kean is trying to play a progressive passing style, its hard with no decent midfield players in the squad, but given time that will come.

100% better than football under Allardyce for me, and given more time we’ll improve further.

By the way its the worst Liverpool performance I've seen since we hammered them on Gally and Le Saux debut back in the early 90's, they don't want to play for the manager, thats clear.

First post since last night's game, as spent all day looking for Liverpool fans at work, and just revelling in a performance which was pretty much the best I can remember at Ewood since we beat Man Utd, when Bentley scored a hat-trick and Rio lost his marbles. First game since then (apart from the Burnley, and Chelsea Carling Cup games) that I can remember where the fans left the ground, and everyone was buzzing and smiling. Not many wins under Sam ever felt like that.

Gav and Den, both spot on.

Last night it felt like - on the pitch at least - we got our Rovers back. :rover::tu:

I'm just watching the game again on LiverpoolTV. I don't know who the commentators are, but whilst they are obviously supporting Liverpool, they are much less biased than the commentary I've heard on MOTD and Sky!
