tony gale's mic Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 As I've said before going down would be critical for this club and there would be no way back, but part of me thinks I'd actually enjoy games more. No. You'd spend the whole time wanting to get back to where we were, and a large part of you will feel cheated about the fact you're down there in the first place.

Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 Maybe I would want to be back in the Prem in fact I'm sure of it but I also think I would enjoy matchdays more
Mattyblue Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Why? 10000 rattling around Ewood, you would pay more than you are now to watch absolute dire football from players STILL earning thousands of pounds a week. Come on Tom!
tony gale's mic Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Exactly. Some of the worlds' best players gracing the turf at Ewood versus a load of old cloggers. If we're lucky we might see the next Gareth Bale a couple of times a season but that's about it.
thenodrog Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Should have signed Hitzlsperger in the summer instead of "rewarding" Pedersen with a new deal. Yeah right! I sort of know what you are saying but Hitzlsbergers been out injured until a month ago! That would have been a good move wouldn't it? We need another Grella like we need a hole in the head. btw ... Have you ever considered that he may rather live in London than the North West? I shouldn't think many players earning gazillions would want to live in cold and grey Lancashire.

The guy spent the best part of four years living in Birmingham. He can't be that fussy.
tony gale's mic Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Pedersen - 29 games 4 goals 6 assists Hitzlsperger - 3 games 1 goals 2 assists On those averages, I'd take the risk. Are you SERIOUSLY making a judgement based on just three games?!
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 It's no good if he isn't on the pitch though, don't those stats prove that over the season Pedersen has been more effective?
Amo Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Are you SERIOUSLY making a judgement based on just three games?! Nope. I've always thought Hitzlsperger was a quality player.
tony gale's mic Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I like Hitzelsperger but posting stats from three games is irrelevant. Also injury record is a crucial factor since if someone can barely get on the pitch they're not much use at all.

broadsword Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Some season-by-season stats for Pedersen would be interesting.
FourLaneBlue Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I've not really seen any evidence to suggest there will be a "battle", rather than just a limp surrender from us to the Championship. Let's hope the action at Arsenal proves us wrong. Usually, I would not expect anything. However, our form is so weak we HAVE to get something soon, no matter where we are.
Ferrit Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Results, bar Birmingham, are going pretty well for us so far today.
broadsword Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Results, bar Birmingham, are going pretty well for us so far today. If it stays as it is and we lose 4-0 tonight then we may well end up 17th today.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 If it stays as it is and we lose 4-0 tonight then we may well end up 17th today. Oh be quiet you miserable turd.
broadsword Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Oh be quiet you miserable turd. Beg pardon? Was that really necessary? Jesus.
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 If it stays as it is and we lose 4-0 tonight then we may well end up 17th today. But that is outside the bottom 3 at least
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Talking of losing 4-0 before we've even kicked off is just depressing, try a little optimism. Even if that means saying 'if we only lose 1-0...'.
blue_and_white Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Well its all going well today. I expect a few more of the delusional "Kean aint too bad and we'll get out of this yet" fans have seen the light now the league table has spelt it out for them. If he's not gone before the Birmingham game then we're down, simple as that.
Grez Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 If he's not gone before the Birmingham game then we're down, simple as that. I disagree - as much as i despise what the venkys and kean have done - the club needs stability and everyone pulling in the same upward direction. More change will just create instability. The time to replace kean this season has gone!

That's what a bit of nous gets you. West Brom bit the bullet and it's paying-off. We dithered and are doomed unless we act after today's match.
Doogs Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I am convinced that we have better players than the teams around us. The real problem is that these teams have a decent manager/coach while we have Kean. Were doomed....
