Which 'facts' are you seconding? Assertions are not facts. If you guess a million times I'm sure you are right a few times, when an FA investigation is launched against Blackburn for improper use of an agent then I'll sit up and take notice but it is not going to happen.

OK. Assertions, opinions whatever. I'm not going to get in to a row about it and I have never suggested that Rovers are going to be investigated. I believe much of what Philip says is pretty accurate, not all of it and not necessarily 100% accurate but close enough for me. The reason I think this is because I hear it elsewhere. Simple as that really.

This is the wrong thread but a few days ago I sat and listened to a couple of well-known, longstanding Rovers supporters publicaly state we have to support our owners. These supporters are fans that other people listen to. That's fine, its their opinion but in my view it is naive and blinkered. People who chose to turn a blind eye to the Raos need to look closer at what has been happening. Now I've put facts and reasoned argument on here till I'm blue in the face, I've speculated about nothing, yet there are still plenty of people who refuse to believe there are questions to be asked. Your choice, I prefer to ask questions.

Apologies for going off topic. I stopped commenting on this stuff weeks ago and won't be returning to it in this thread.

A fair play position is through the Fair Play League isnt it? I could be wrong if they have changed the rules.

I was just going off what the sky sports chap said when the news came out this morning, he implied tottenham would qualify through the fair play league at worst, however it seems they are tied with fulham as others have since mentioned

I can honestly see all 4 of us, Lashers, Big Club and the Pie Munchers losing.

Spurs will want to end their season on a high, and secure a UEFA spot. They've only lost 1 home game all season, and Brum are in complete free-fall.

Stoke will want to gain a top ten place, and make up for the disappointment of losing the cup final. Wigan will fight but I see Stoke being much too strong.

United will rest key players, but the mindset of the fringe players will surely be to put in a cracking performance and ensure they're at least on the bench for Wembley - not to mention I'm sure they'll be keen to ensure they remain unbeaten at home all season. Blackpool's great away wins were pretty much all before Xmas - before they were sussed out and started a free-fall of their own.

And .... Wolves will want to win to ensure their own safety so I can see them rolling us over.

What odds on all 4 losing and us staying up?

There's a lot more chance of all four losing than of Wigan, Blackpool and Big Club all winning away from home.

I always try to look on the bright side - so think where we would be now if :-

1. We hadn't got a point at Arsenal (few, if any, gave us any hope prior to the match)

2. We hadn't got a point at West Ham (only a few gave us any hope prior to the match)

3. We hadn't got a point against ManU (many just hoped we would keep our goal difference as intact as possible).

Please nobody reply that without the sacking of Sam we would probably have no worries - as I think we all know that.

I have already purchased enough alcohol for next Sunday that the result will only a blur if we go down - and wish I could have gone to Wolves. Shame we aren't on Sky - will just be huddled around my PC.

Like all the different scenario Wilsbowski laid out but it's simply put as:

WE WIN - we stay up

WE DRAW - Wolves are guranteed to finish below us and therefore we'll stay up barring Blackpool, Birmingham and Wigan all winning.

WE LOSE - Two out of Birmingham, Blackpool and Wigan would need to win to send us down unless we get beat by a seven goal margin in which case it could bring goal difference into play and we could be over-taken with draws from the aforementioned three teams.

It's even more complicated set of equations for Wolves fans. A draw for them put them in a similiar situation to if we lose plus they have more goal difference factors to look at as well with their GD being relatively close to the other three teams. If Wolves get beat it puts them in grave danger a defeat by a two goal margin would see both Birmingham and Blackpool potentially over-take them with just a point. Will be interesting to see our game takes shape, people will always say there's the play for a win mentality but at the back of a player's minds there's always the idea that a point could be good enough especially if favourable news fliters through from the the other games.

Maybe Mr. Kean will be reading up on a little game theory ahead on this weekend's games. I find it a very interesting subject that very much applies here.

To be fair, Paul, that's good advice for everyone. There's nothing else really to be said and the permutations won't change between now and Sunday.

Strange things happen. I'd have given you a £1 to 1p at least one of Blackpool, Wolves and Wigan would drop points. You simply cannot say there is "not a chance."

Never think of going into the bookmaking business Paul ;) (I entirely agree with your sentiment though!). As I've got my fixed odds coupon from the weekend handy....... on Sat, Blackpool to win were 11/10, Wolves to win were 6/4, and Wigan to win were 6/5. So the treble is about 10.5/1 . So (according to the bookies) getting on for three times more likely than it would be for us to lose and go down on Sunday.

Asking questions is fine but I have a real problem with people passing off information as 'fact' when it is no such thing, that in my opinion is naive and blinkered to listen to tittle tattle gossip and assume its fact. Anyway as you said off topic.

And 10 times more likely than going down with a draw.

Hence, set up like a normal away game where a point is a good result.

I've just checked on betfair, and if you are really worried about a draw not being good enough. Bet on us drawing and the other three winning and you get odds of 255/1.

255/1!!!

Had nothing to do on my lunch so figured I'd try and work out every possible scenario for us on the last day, just to try and relieve some of the stress I am already feeling. Anyway its pretty boring but just thought I'd share it.

Hopefully I am not tempting fate by neglecting to include a 7-0 loss to Wolves in the scenarios.

Get over yourself. It isn't going to happen.

When I do make a bet it never wins anyway, so if I don't make the bet and it does happen, then it's my fault for not making the bet in the first place.

No need to worry about muggers either. It's online.

I also just remembered why I had you on ignore.

Whilst I always make a point of not betting on the Rovers either way, it's no business of yours who someone bets on or not. If they make money out of it then good on them! Not like a bet influences anything that happens on the pitch.

I have never bet against my team before.

But people on here seem convinced a point isn't good enough whereas I think it definitely is.

£2500 would take the edge of my mistake if it works out like that.

Especially as I'm not betting against my team, I am betting that we draw and three other teams win away. To most people I would be in the same position if I just ripped the £10 up. It's a wasted bet.

I'm not with you on that one Abbey. Nothing sinister or malicious it's simply a case of head over heart rather than the other way around.

DOH I KNOW ITS NOT MY BUSINESS ON WHO PUTS MONEY WHERE BUT IT MAKES ME SICK THAT ANYONE CAN BACK AGAINST THEIR OWN TEAM! PERSONALLY I COULDNT MORALLY COLLECT MONEY IF I HAD BET AGAINST MY TEAM! I WILL BE DEVASTATED IF THE WORST HAPPENS AND A FEW QUID OFF THE BOOKIES WOULDNT FEEL RIGHT.

I had a mate who bet against his team every game, he said that with his luck it gave them a better chance of winning, if they did lose he just used the winnings to get extra hammered, and if they won he got extra hammered at his own expense!

I didn't for a second think that made him less of a fan. He had a season ticket for years.

Put the bet on and give the winnings to charity then. To a cause which is better (quite frankly) than any football club. That's what my dad does. He doesn't bet for financial gain, but donates his winnings every year (off £1 bets) equally spread amongst the NDCS, RSPCA and Leukaemia and Lymphoma research. It only ends up at about 50quid to each charity a year, but if more people did this the world would be a better place and they'd have their priorities straightened out just a little.

And is there any need for the capitals? If it's a mistake, then apologies.

Yes it was a mistake and he accidently put it bold and accidently increased the size to LARGE

They aren't top Chelsea are but have already qualified.

The fair play league really annoys me. Chelsea show the most respect to referees?

Give me a break
