That's rubbish. We pay Samba a salary and he works for that salary. Nobody owes anybody anything. If I didn't work for my company I'd be unemployed but I don't owe them anything.

It puzzles me that people talk about "rescuing" players from doldrums, like it's some sort of charity of favour. We signed him because we thought he might be good at football and help our team and thankfully that has turned out to be the case!

I think comparing football to everyday working life is rubbish as well.

I'm sure we can all draw parallels between working life and football, but they are not the same and never will be.

I keep hearing all these names mentioned but have we actually put a biid in for any of these yet? I ask because if Kean is to unveil players at a press conference (having seen no evidence of us actually bidding for players) they simply must be loanees?

Tone of Nicko's comments sounds like we'll miss out this window but there may be a silver lining. Obviously we can try and infer this to death for 8 hours!

IMO, we still need a central midfielder of that ilk so given that Blackpool were always likely to make this one difficult (and well within their rights to) then I hope a back up option exists.

First Post.

I think Adam would be a good signing, within reason. We don't want to go all in and give Hollaway all what he wants.

Can't see any Rover going there due to their £10k wage barrier.

Samba needs an arm around his shoulders and a kick up the rear to get his head back in the real world and stay at Rovers for the next 6 months at least and see what happens!

Adam on loan til the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal. However, there'll be clauses up to our eyeballs and if he does any good with us he'll cost an absolute fortune. This would take Roque out of the picture which would mean finding a striker for a reasonable price.

That's my prediction. Wouldn't be the worst result out of all the suggestions, but if they won't let us buy him outright.

I'd hate Samba to go to Villa. Be worse than seeing Brad leave for them.

Given their wage structure i doubt it,maybe a youngster though?

I'm trying to think of who we would exchange. One of the keepers maybe? Kean or Fielding?

Miroslav Klose can leave Bayern Munich. His contract ends in June.

Half of me quite likes the idea of Klose at Blackburn, I've got him down in my head though as a very hit and miss type of striker. Saying that, I'd rather him than Santa Cruz. Even when he was playing for us I always felt that it was more him having a great run than has ability, can't put my finger on why though having never seen him play before us.

I still find the concept of him going to either Villa or Arsenal hilarious. Villa would be a step sideways and I think he'd play the exact same role for Arsenal as he has done for Blackburn, something Wenger has criticised us for.
