Ireland is a cracking player (better than Adam) but reportedly he's an utter lunatic.

When you put it like that I think we should sign him.

Immediately. I like lunatics.

Ireland and Barton. See you in the Champions League lads.

Ireland is by far the least favourite. He's been awful every single time he's played for us, never wanted to leave City, doesn't give a ###### about improving as a footballer and basically a disease. I'd sell him for free if I were in charge.

I can't believe anyone would want Ireland to be honest. I don't think we'd see a team ethic like last night if we started drafting in players with his temperament. I'd rather have Joey Barton, at least he gives his all on the pitch.

Dembale Ba. after missing the training camp.

"All I know is my ambition is to play in the Premier League," he told Sky Sports on Thursday. "If there is an opportunity, I should take it, and the club knows that."

In response, Hoffenheim have threatened legal action against the player. In an official statement on the club's website, general manager Ernst Tanner claimed that Ba will be fined, and his contract will be terminated.

Surely Hoffenheim are not that stupid.

I think very simply the news regarding Adam will be along the lines of another club is interested and has made a move for him which has given Rovers a bit of a kick up the backside.

Bid imminent?

Exactly what I'm thinking. Nicko will be referring to the kick up the jacksie that we need.

I'm impressed Kean thinks he can get a couple in before the weekend..apart from Santa Cruz there doesn't seem to be much progress on any front.

Am I the only one who doesn't want Duff back??

This season he has been a force for them. He has adapated his game, as he no longer has the pace. Biggest threat for them midweek and would be a good asset.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but why exactly are Fulham letting Duff leave? If in fact he is, as reports have been suggesting.

From what Nicko has said Hughes doesn't want him to leave but Mr Duff has his eyes on a move back home.

Cor Blimey guys - show some imagination!

Barton, coward and a bottler -remember the regular no shows against Hughsey's hard bitten midfied with Savage, fit Dunn, Tugay, Reid etc. If you want a footballing idiot Lee Bowyer is better on both counts. We do need a fit CM though. but he doesn't play there anyway.

Duff - Hope this one goes away - He was great in spells for us but had searing pace as his big asset - that was 8 years and 100 injuries ago and it's gone now. Stick with Olson, Pederson, Diouf or Hoilett IMO at L/M.

Roque - been there done that got the cash thanks and goodbye - too many injured at Ewood as it is to take a risk. How many has he played dince he went?

Bentley - as Roque - remember - 'I've been working for ages to engineer this move.' (To Spurs)

Not really impressed with any of the other targets although Adam is a great footballer. He won't come where the manager might be out in summer though and he won't leave Ollie I don't think. Needs a minder.

If we can pay 7m for goofy I'd pay £8m for Scott Parker and send a message to Samba etc that we mean business.

Ireland - Phew! that's scraping the barrel too. Complete balloon. Always available. Needs a minder too.

Scott Parker

Ashley Young

Kranjar (can't spell that one!)

Fred Piquonne

Then were in business if Sambaman stays
