Blackburn Ravers Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Keano interview on ssn in 2 mins, after break
duffbear Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 an exciting assistant manager? I've never been excited by one yet. Hmmm.... Shearer - no. Tugay - surely not. Isnt Tugay's son playing for one of Rovers youth sides or did I dream that?
Valois Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Keano's interview - Confirms the following - Will be at least 3 signings - Still trying for Ronnie (just give it up) - Beckham a definite no no Nothing new there really. Cards close to chest, in regards to our targets.
mickbrown Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Steve Clarke would be a great one to go for Steve Clarke is absolutely useless.
Taggart Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Lyon linked with Samba http://www.fansfc.com/story/28309.html I would much rather he goes there than Villa, we could get a better swap options from them also. Jean Makoun, or Yoann Gourcuff for example, would be a great additions. My thoughts are that Villa dont have the cash for Samba, they signed Kyle Walker on loan from Spuds yesterday, who is a defender, and looks like they are signing Bridge on loan. Also I'm pretty sure Samba doesnt want to leave us to go to Villa, he wants to play in Europe, Lyon would be perfect for him, if he does want to leave. Kean saying he isstill going to try and convince Samba to stay - must say this is positive and either he or Nicko or Venkys are telling porkies if what was said about Villa making a bid (or does an exchange not count as that possibly ?) http://sport.virginm...s_samba_to_stay
sweet Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Kean saying he isstill going to try and convinve King Kong to stay - must say this is positive and either he or Nicko or Venkys are telling porkies if what was said about Villa making a bid (or does an exchange not count as that possibly ?) http://sport.virginmedia.com/football/article/2011/01/07/kean_wants_samba_to_stay I thought kean said he was happy to stay when he heard about the clubs plans for the future. Or have I dreamt that?
BuckyRover Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I really don't think you should refer to him as King Kong. Even though someone will say that they saw him once and asked him and he was totally cool with it. If you believe that you will believe anything.
Gav Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Billy McKinlay surely. The same Billy McKinlay that faked injury ALLEDGEDLY, and held the club to ransom whilst his contract ran out They'd never have him back I'm sure of that.

Samba called himself King Kong on soccer AM when the team were doing the cross bar challenge, still, i refer to him as Sambaa,

Even though someone will say that they saw him once and asked him and he was totally cool with it. If you believe that you will believe anything. Why do you say that? He called himself it on Cross Bar challenge. If you believe that some might see it as a racist slur, thats just daft. King Kong was big, so is samba, that's were the nickname comes from.
Fraserkirky Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Back in for Ronnie, did the brazilian team not have the money. Wonder why Kean would bring this up again. here's hoping.
3rdpillar Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Well still nothing confirmed, Match to prepare for tomorrow, as that will be it for the weekend. See you Monday in the 4th Round.
Amo Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I really don't think you should refer to him as King Kong. Even though someone will say that they saw him once and asked him and he was totally cool with it. If you believe that you will believe anything. Have a word with yourself.
brigrover Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Samba called himself King Kong on soccer AM when the team were doing the cross bar challenge, still, i refer to him as Sambaa, correct and i loved that
Steve Moss Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 It goes from bad to worse. Duff (not much mileage left in him) Roque (had his chance, not called "Crocky" for nothing) Barton (please, do me a favour, will alienate a lot of the fans - I want players with some kind of decency and role models for the youngsters, please - is that too much to ask?). No it isn't. As usual you talk a lot of sense. And you can forget the Joey Barton story. Total non-starter. Thank goodness. I would say Left back is a priority as neither of those players are a natural left back. Persoanally O'd ratjer see Olsson on the wing and Givet as cover for the CB pairing. Spot on. Forget signing a new CB, we already have cover in Givet. Get a dedicated left back. One transfer strengthens two positions. A no brainer, in my opinion.

Even though someone will say that they saw him once and asked him and he was totally cool with it. If you believe that you will believe anything. Most of the players used their club nicknames when doing the crossbar challenge on Soccer AM. Samba introduced himself as King Kong on that. Was quite funny Here is the link
