67splitscreen Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Aaah I'd love Tony Parkes to come back. He is/was part time scout, as a few months ago.
roverwhelmed Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 He is/was part time scout, as a few months ago. Ace!

Iceman Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 What makes you guess Jamie Redknapp, seems a bit out of left field Venkys have been out of left field, so who knows. Darren Ferguson could be an option, but think many would be against that idea.
Mercer Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 My money is on fellow Scot Clarke - Kean's words (exciting - not sure about that, can only be on basis of what he did at Chelsea which would also tick the 'pedigree' box).
Hughesy Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Parkes?? Not up with modern stuff so no thanks....too old school for us. He already works for us anyway. Only 3 id like to see....in dream world - number 1 choice please. TUGAY Ray Wilkins Chris Hughton (Doubt he would drop back down to Assistant Mgr)
LeChuck Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Darren Ferguson could be an option, but think many would be against that idea. Could be an option according to who? I'll bet anything it's not him. Ray Wilkins, Chris Hughton or Steve Clark please.
John Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Not seen the interview, did he actually say it would be an exciting appointment? Heard about signing exciting players before, but not on too many occasions have seen people get too excited over an assistant manager. Anyway, hoping for a quality appointment hopefully.
John Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Watched the interview. Kean said they (the backroom team) have been stretched recently in relation to coaching duties. He wants to announce the name himself on Monday as people will sit up and take notice because he is a good candidate for the job - it is an excellent addition to the coaching staff. was his words
80s russ Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Billy McKinlay or another Celtic link and outside bet Stuart Balmer, ex Charlton, Wigan, Oldham centre half and St Mirren assistant
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Perhaps someone from Spain or Portugal? Kean may have built up some contacts during his stint at Sociedad. Any former star players over there who are now coaches or looking to go down the coaching route?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 At first I was going to say Chris Coleman but since reading that it's going to be someone which will make people stand up and take notice then it's really making me wonder who it could be....maybe a big name in England like Keegan, Wilkins or Clarke?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 MARADONA! Argh!!!!!!!! haha, great minds think alike!

John Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Think it must be someone highly rated and known of by the way he was talking. Guess and probably unrealistic one, Carlos Queiroz?
bennyboyt11 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 It won't be Poyet, his Brighton side are sitting top of League 1 and he's getting some very nice jobs linked to him. Wouldn't make sense to return to the Premiership as an Assistant.
beerwins Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Heart say's TUGAY. Head says Ricky Sbragia. Stomach says if this damn chinese I ordered over an hour ago doesn't trap im gonna kick off
