Also I have been very positive overall but I'm concerned now, either venkys did not know how expensive it was going to be or they were banking on a,Jones sale , now it has to be samba. You never know though maybe just being patient

Offer Blackpool £4m and their pick of young midfielder on loan and they may bite after the low Brum bid.

EH Diouf's actions dont sit well with what Rovers football club stands for, and with his performances dipping from that early season promise he could well find himself out on his ear, but this is a new era and do those standards of expected player behaviour still apply, things may have changed, I, hope not though.

If Venky's want positive publicity for their product then this doesnt look good for the player whose brought this on.

Insult? Its called negotiating....

You seem to think Adam is worth mega money? Why? He has had half a season at the top.

Samba has played in the prem with us for years yet is only worth £6-8m according to some.

£3-4m should be enough to sign Adam.

You're comparing transfers 4 years apart?! Seriously, that means absolutely nothing. We bought Samba for £500k. That equally means nothing in relation to Adam, just making a point.

Good rule in negotiating [personal opinion]. Start low... you can always increase a bid... you want to get a player for the lowest possible price you can! Don't want to take a stab in the dark, guessing how much you think a player is worth. It could end up being the other clubs lucky day!

He wanted to be allowed to rip his contract up & had a dispute with them, no need to bid massive amounts. Blackpool are still small fish in prem terms...£3-4m for a player is good money for them

Nah. They'll still have no-one to get the goals, Kenny Miller will hardly solve that problem.

Actually I don't think Bentley is that much better than Larsson, they are quite similar. It'd be interesting to see how Adam would fit into their midfield, I don't see him as an ideal partner for either Ferguson or Bowyer.

No, he's going to Flamengo. Gremio can't afford him and he just doesn't fancy England, too wet and the girls aren't up to much. ;)

Hey guys first post here, really enjoy reading everyones opinion, hopefully we can bring in some talent soon as we definately need it! Totally agree with hughesy about Adam a club wouldn't need to bid mega bucks for him, does anybody know if benayoun is injured or just doesn't get a game? He would be a great signing for a club like us?

Duff - Fulham won't sell so that's a dead end.

Demba Ba - is showing his true colours as a loose cannon - stay clear.

Adam - Birmingham trying, Blackburn waiting. Only realistic deal at the moment.

RSC - haggling, might happen towards the end of the window.

Ronaldinho - Doesn't have the appetite for the EPL.

Anyone got anything to add on this? I was optimistic about this window, not so much anymore.

Nothing to add.

The ones that might come through from your list should be covered by far less than say, I don't know, er.... £5m or so but it's OK our resident sensationalist reckons we've got loads more than that. Unless of course he's been taken in by all the hype spouted from India!? ;)
