Yet they have more than the odd million to throw around on 75 top end sports cars?

LOL, where did you get that from, Sky Sports? If you watch that video you see 5 cars and with the exception of the Aston Martin none of them are "top of the range sports cars", one of them is a bloomin Morris Minor!!! This is the same report that claimed Venky's were a "£1 billion poultry empire" so I'm guessing being 'economical' with figures should be taken as read.

If you're that easily impressed maybe you should be trying to get Jay K to be our chairman.

With all due respect Glenn no one said they were "con artists". I did say they were skint but maybe I should clarify, they are not skint in the same sense as we are, they have a fairly successful business with ambitious global plans and they have the odd million or two kicking about, but what I don't believe (I, not the opinion of BRFCS) is that they have tens of millions to throw around so in the terms of Premier League owners they are skint.

Glenn wasn't commenting on your post TB&W.. he was commenting on the post directly above!

I assumed the one billion figure was the number of chickens that they owned; your post has comforted me no end.

Morris Minors are very collectible nowadays - whom else but a multi billionaire would own one?

I like Adam, Adam is nice.

JOHN LEIGH, the biggest conspiracy theories on here at the moment are the positive ones like 'the Rao family have huge family wealth behind them' or 'we were going to pay Ronaldinho $20m out of Barry White's personal bank account'....

Time for some people on here to wake up and smell the coffee. Our owners are skint, the £5m figure wasn't a mistake, they actually think that is a lot of money! The supposed money we had to pay Ronnie doesn't exist, PR stunt and nothing more. We won't get Charlie Adam if Sunderland are serious, no chance of competing with them financially and the same goes for Brum.

There will be no £5m+ signings (unless we sell Samba for a bucket load) and we won't be getting 4 or 5 fully paid up, contracted Prem quality players. We will get 1 or 2 anticlimactic names and a couple of loans. I no doubt this will be excused by yet more bull from Venky's about how they were chasing all these star names but couldn't get them done in time blah blah blah...

wba , lIVERPOOL , QPR , .......papering over cracks anyone ?????

*cough* "You believe" Venky's are skint con-artists *cough*

So you think the Ronaldinho and Beckham "bids" were serious and not a con to deceive naive supporters ?

And you actually believe they are going to splash serious money in the transfer market without selling players first ?

Not such a libel as more statement of facts on the evidence so far.

Surely The time to state that is at the END of the transfer window and NOT 1/3 of the way through?

I know this is the Transfer Window thread but there are only a few on here wondering WHETHER we should sign a job lot of greedy, unattached footballers. The home win against West Brom is the top priority cos that will get us in the 30s. I do not want a host of 'johnny come latelys' blocking the room for the young guns to get experience and be tested over a reasonable period. One or two additions maybe-especially with the Givet/Jones injuries. And Charley Adam definitely(please send Grella anywhere with his unearned money)but nothing radical at all.

Need 40+ points and the Season Ticket prices holding.

Jim, they did say £5m investment per transfer window, so I'll hold them to that, but this is not in anyway shape or form to include selling our best players, if this happens then thats when they cross the line of being fit and proper owners for us as Blackburn Rovers supporters.

Lets see if they hold to this, personally like you, I have my doubts but just like BPF the other night we hope we are wrong.

Every time I come on here to see if anything of interest is happening I see the same people saying the same old things.

You think they're taking us for a ride or whatever. We get it, nobody cares anymore.

Whether they are or they aren't, please shut up.

Dont know if anyone has posted this yet but Villa have had 2.5m rejected from Blackpool for Adam

Blackpool Reject Villas Bid

The next move is down to Charlie Adam. If he kicks off then Blackpool will sell to the highest bidder.

I get the feeling this is going to cost a bit more than expected.

Could do with it being sorted one way or another.

If you are going to play the football Steve Kean wants to play he is absolutely key.

Now they have rejected bids of 2m & 2.5m I would try tempting them with a 4m bid or perhaps 3m + a player we want to get rid of

Jims entitled to his opinion, and to be honest is throwing out the same old lines so consistently, that maybe he knows something the rest of us don’t.

Whilst I enjoy reading the speculation and Nickos comments, I can’t help but feel that these lot are taking us all for a ride in the name of publicity, like I’m sure many do also.

But as a Rovers fan I’ve enjoyed the past few weeks, from being linked to Maradona, to Ronny and then to Beckham, certainly beats being linked to nobody at all season after season, so even if we sign nobody its been a good few weeks picking up the paper daily and reading the news sites on the internet.

We all know this transfer window is notoriously difficult to do deals, Kean is probably finding that out about now, and maybe should have refused to discuss transfer speculation with the press. Whilst we’ll not be held to ransom on transfers, I think if we fail to sign a couple of established players the owners and manager in some respects will lose all credibility, and Jim will be singing that old favourite:

“I told you so”

Time will tell.
