Just a point to add, people who keep suggesting Venkys dont have a pot to ###### in. Last year they had an annual turnover of £1 billion, recording a profit of £118 million. Not to mention there own personal wealth. I also seem to remember JW confirming there was a lengthy due diligence process.

I totally understand people's concerns, and they Venkys have gone about certain things have been un-professional to say the least, but I do believe they will provide adequate funds in this transfer window, and i'm confident JW is negotiating possible deals behind the scenes, which is how it should be done. .

Personally i'm quite happy it's gone quite for a bit, as whenever we are in the news recently, were made to look a laughing stock.

I like I think a lot if not everyone are still undecided on Venkys, but I am willing to give them a chance to show they are commited to the club, and making us a bigger, and better team.

3 decent, solid players will do wonders to our squad, along with players back from injuries, we have a good balance between youth, and experience, a manager who is trying to get us playing positive football again.

I'm confident by the end of the week we will have a least one if not two new players in the squad, along with John Jensen as Steve Keans assistant, who I have been told by a Danish work collegue, is very highly regarded and respected as a top class assistant.

You would think that he would prefer us. He would get a nice good contract, Keane has said publicly that he wants to sign players who will fit right into the starting XI which gives a promise of playing week in week out.

He would also live very very close to his present home, I would guess he has a family and it must be an advantage to be able to see them on a daily basis.

I hope that the nucular-thing that nicko is talking about involes us joining in on a bidding-round :rover:

Id be more than happy in this transfer window if we used all our moeny to get Adam, he is a class player and would hit the ground running for us. Samba wants out I hope we can convince him otherwise. Id rather have a fully committed Samba than 2 villa players who might not even want to move up here

Sky video interview at their home last week, the one with the cars. ;)

LOL, I'll re-phrase "credible source please" :D

Venky's India, their main business, the one they want to promote so much had a turnover of just over £100m last year with a profit of £7.7m after tax so I would love to know where the other £900m of turnover and £110m of profit is coming from. And why the Raos aren't promoting these other companies which are worth more to them.

Moving the goal posts is not creditable. ;)

Anywat the fall out is due on an easterly wind in 6 hours so I'm off.

Interesting, yet unsubstantiated rumour from Blackpool. Belokon (Club President) is alleged to have put his hand in his own pocket for Adams' fee from Rangers rather than the club, on the understanding that should a decent bid come in he can recoup his investment, leaving Holloway or Oyston little say in whether he stays or goes. It's claimed he was bought to be flipped for a quick profit.

It doesn't really impact us in any way, but I found it noteworthy.

Re: Twitter accounts. Was aware of the verified status. I gave the (apparently now real) @JasonRoberts30 a link to it to see if Twitter will sort it out for him. The Jason Brown thing looks legit, I won't add him to the list of Rovers fans I keep on there though

As for Adam, sounds like the player's kicked off and a bidding war has started. Guess we'll see what's what now.

If they were only making £7.7 million a year, where on earth did the fourty-odd million to pay for BRFC and to pay off the large debt of BRFC come from? I think that alone is confirmation they have more funding than the chicken business.

That sounds too much like third party ownership to me
