[Archived] Transfer Window Part 3

I'm with you on that.

Bringing Adam in would represent a good window for us, with a view to sorting our squad out properly in the summer.

Here Here!!! or is it Hear Hear!!!

A rumour from the Blackpool Vital site from somebody who is normally fairly reliable.

Expect a deal to be done on Wednesday night between Ollie & Kenny Dalgleish a couple of Liverpool young players plus cash for Charlie.Forget about Villa and Birmingham its a done deal!

I have been hearing about a 7m move for Leighton Baines, Highly unlikely but still I think that would be a great signing. Also I think Adam would be a great signing, what i dont understand is why we dont just offer them 5m and see what happens. Dont really want RSC back. If we only got Baines and Adam this transfer window I for one would be extremely happy.

With all this talk of looking for a left back I dont see why we havent thrown our hat into the ring for Wayne Bridge.

Although, as with all City players, he is probably on a ridiculous salary.

Well, if you see on the other rumours there, you can see that this is most likely NOT true.

On £90k a week, going/gone to West Ham who are paying ALL his wages I thought I read somewhere ....

Which means we are in a better position.

(The debt is also being cleared, you failed to mention that minor point)

Is it "being cleared", has it "been cleared", or is it "being serviced", or has it "been taken over".

From what I can remember, it's actually being serviced and has not been paid in full. I may be wrong though.

Liverpool's young players who are not making the first team can't be that good anyway. And anyway is Adam big enough to appease Liverpool fans who think they deserve better? Can't see Dalglish wanting to bring in someone from Blackpool even if we think he's better than what we've got.

Agree! I can't see this happening..

So when we're in for him, Adam is a box-to-box midfielder who can put his foot on the ball, pick out a pass and dictate play but when Liverpool come in he's just a cr*ppy player from Blackpool.

I think you need to look at Liverpool now (not the 1980s Liverpool but the 2011 ones), Adam would improve their first 11 let alone their squad as a whole.

Liverpool dont really need another centre midfielder either. They are well covered in that area.

Who's made more of an impact this season, Charlie Adam or Maxi Rodriguez...be honest.

No, his brother Rafael Alcantra has emerged an excellent prospect I am told.

Ahhh fair enough, still a midfielder though...

But having said that C.Ronaldo was a "midfielder" for Man U and was more of a striker in reality. Well good luck to the kid, but not as much luck as I wish Rochina here of course :)

I dont think thats what he is saying at all.He is saying that's how Liverpool fans would view him signing for them. It doesnt take a genuis to work out he would improve our first 11, it's certainly debateable of it would be an improvement on Gerrard and Meireles who are both box to box.

Im hearing this from someone in Spain.

Rochina is a done deal at 1.2 million Euros. Good signing he said. Only the emergence of Thiago's brother as a false 9 has eased the decision to sell Ruben.

He's wrong.

Rochina is rubbish cos he's cheap and nobody else wants him. He's also just a Kentaro/SEM playboy.

Last I saw he has been playing on the left wing, and they have Gerrard, Meireles, and then as cover Shelvey, Poulson, Lucas, joe cole. I wouldnt of thought Charlie Adam would be on Dalglish's list of priority signings to be honest, with Gerrard doing that role perfectly well for them.

How is that even relevant? Maxi is a winger.

Liverpool definitely need someone like Adam, they haven't had a good, deep-lying passer since Alonso left. They've resorted to playing Gerrard deeper because he's the only one half-decent at it, but he's wasted back there.

Adam is better than Poulsen and Lucas, but more important gives them something they don't have. I can see why they want him.

Fair enough, I re-read the post and you're right but then I don't think Kenny should be making transfer decision based on what the fans want.
