A rumour from the Blackpool Vital site from somebody who is normally fairly reliable.

Expect a deal to be done on Wednesday night between Ollie & Kenny Dalgleish a couple of Liverpool young players plus cash for Charlie.Forget about Villa and Birmingham its a done deal!

With all this talk of looking for a left back I dont see why we havent thrown our hat into the ring for Wayne Bridge. Probably because he can't defend! Although, as with all City players, he is probably on a ridiculous salary.

Liverpool's young players who are not making the first team can't be that good anyway. And anyway is Adam big enough to appease Liverpool fans who think they deserve better? Can't see Dalglish wanting to bring in someone from Blackpool even if we think he's better than what we've got.

I am not certain I understand your logic here? How do you define cheap for a 19 year old? To extrapolate a guessed price and a blatant assumption that no-one else wants him plus, I suspect, your limited knowledge of the Spanish youth game suggests an ill-informed judgement.

On the basis that he is on SEM's books - well there are plenty of very, very good players on their books. It might just be that their connection will enable Rovers to get a player in who we wouldn't have had a chance of before. I am also willing to trust Steve Kean on this.

I think that was a knee-jerk reaction to him being top scorer in that U21 tournament (including scoring against England), rather than being carefully scouted.

I don't blame us for taking the risk at the price he was available.

Agreed. I remember I thought we had done some really amazing business back then, when Rigters was top scorer, playing with Babel. Babel was pretty expencieve if I remember correctly, and Rigters was cheap. Sad thing is Babel was only half-decent and Rigters was awful. Oh well. Gambles are like that.

Adam would be a great signing for Liverpool as he would fit into that side well. If Liverpool are interested in getting him then that's that, he will always choose Liverpool over us.

When you read Shillts's posts [sorry, I just can't address my replies to s15 - sounds like a post code], you have to do two things. Firstly listen to what he says, then secondly work out what he means.
