Is it completely out of the question to enquire about Adel Taarabt this window?

I'm surprised nobody has been linked with him at all.

I doubt he'd get away with all of his showboating in the Premiership but he does have genuine talent.

Obviously QPR would do everything they could to keep him but it might be within a workable price range.

Diouf won't have done us any favours on the negotiation front either!!

Why doesn't this bit suprise me...

Your like the battered wife who keeps going back for more punishment.

Your knowledge of the standard protocol of transfers is lacking to say the least.

We've made an enquiry, Barce have confirmed he is available, and named their price (thought to be 1million), and now its down to us. Do we want to take a punt on an untried centre forward? Other reports have said he is due to arrive at Rovers this week for talks, that would suggeest we are willing to meet there offer.

What's Aron Gunnarsson up to these days? Still at Coventry? Looked a decent player when we were linked to him in the past.

Decidedly uninspiring I'm afraid. He got very big for his boots after that 1 good season he had and has really lost his way. Struggled to get into the team towards end of last year. Still pretty young though and the move up could well be the kick up the backside he needs to move him forward. He is not being talked about much by my Cov supporting mates, they are all too concerned by losing Westwood.

Official Profile, needs a hair cut though.

Wowzers, someone better tell hoddle and waddle their diamond lights haircuts have been stolen.

Bentley only a loan according to Sherwood. No view to buy.

Who to? Birmingham?

Liverpool's young players who are not making the first team can't be that good anyway. And anyway is Adam big enough to appease Liverpool fans who think they deserve better? Can't see Dalglish wanting to bring in someone from Blackpool even if we think he's better than what we've got.

Alan Wright came to Rovers from Blackpool as Kennys first signing, can spot a player can Kenny!!

Apparently Larsson's move to Newcastle has hit a snag with personal terms.. if Bentley is close to confirmation, Brum is probably eager to get rid of the Swede. Perhaps our Kentaro boys could help us with Larsson's terms.

I dont think thats what he is saying at all.He is saying that's how Liverpool fans would view him signing for them. It doesnt take a genuis to work out he would improve our first 11, it's certainly debateable of it would be an improvement on Gerrard and Meireles who are both box to box.

Jan Molby??? he was a similar player to Adam and what a player, wonderful passer of a football.

I think that description better fits yourself to be honest. Venky's is your abusive husband and instead o just admitting the truth you just say "but he loves me, he does!"

No this is what normally happens

1)Rovers enquire about player X (in private)

2)Club X tells us whether he's available (in private), what they don't then do is say how much they want as you imply..that would damage their negotiating position. The seller never gives his hand first.

3) Rovers then offer what he is worth (first stage in which publicity should come).

4) Club X accept, reject or ask for more.

5) Players signs/stays where he is.

This is what is happening now...

1) Rovers (or the Rao boys) fancy player X

2) Rovers/Raos go to the press to say we are trying to sign X

...then follow the steps from how it should be done.
