I dont think thats what he is saying at all.He is saying that's how Liverpool fans would view him signing for them. It doesnt take a genuis to work out he would improve our first 11, it's certainly debateable of it would be an improvement on Gerrard and Meireles who are both box to box.

The two box to box midfielders are the reason Liverpools balance is all wrong!

I think that description better fits yourself to be honest. Venky's is your abusive husband and instead o just admitting the truth you just say "but he loves me, he does!"

No this is what normally happens

1)Rovers enquire about player X (in private)

2)Club X tells us whether he's available (in private), what they don't then do is say how much they want as you imply..that would damage their negotiating position. The seller never gives his hand first.

3) Rovers then offer what he is worth (first stage in which publicity should come).

4) Club X accept, reject or ask for more.

5) Players signs/stays where he is.

This is what is happening now...

1) Rovers (or the Rao boys) fancy player X

2) Rovers/Raos go to the press to say we are trying to sign X

...then follow the steps from how it should be done.

You forgot to add -

player goes to club who makes first bid, as its obvious they want him more :P

Step 1 & 2 is enquire to the club?? What about contact the players agent, put the feelers out & see if he fancies move? Cause trouble behind the scenes before you approach the club? Throw a few stories out in the press etc?

Its not as Black & White as you seem to think.

The same applies to Valois' post though, why not quote him as well?

Sorry I couldnt see it for all your posts in here... (Just kiddin so chill)

As for Totti - not what id like to see us sign. We either need prem experience or young potential. His wages will be huge too!

Just going based on our resident journo, who was linking Guidetti and Larsson to us in October? based on them being Kentaro. Perhaps things have changed since or he was misinformed.

Edit: according to your transfermarkt-link, Larsson's agent is Anders Karlsson, who is Kentaro's man. So I don't know what you're on about.

Why have we gone back to money and Venkys...again, can this not be dealt with in a separate thread, the same points are being made in the transfer thread!

Edit- true blue, the real irony is that the wiki page that you have linked shows that Venkys is worth 46 million, click on the article and it states that Venkys bought Rovers for 46 million- 322 crore, and is a 4000 crore business, which is over 500 million, and close to being a billion dollars which is what I have read in a number of places, now Times of India is a very respectable newspaper. Just goes to show how stupid Wiki can be.

Never touch an agent, use your players mate, they are the ones who put the feelers out, then if the player suggests he may move to the club, then take it further through the agent, if you really must have one and they will move from there.

Most of the British players who move between clubs are 'talked to' by a friend who is a player at the club in question, thats how it works.

Is there an 11 o'clocker tonight people? Has Nicko indicated anything today or can I finally get an early night lol. Overall I would be happy with Roque on loan, Adam perm and this young spanish lad - that would represent good business help us finish in top 10 and re-assess in summer and then really push on. Also think there is good players available in Championship that are at least worth checking out:

Craig Bellamy

Lewis Mcguigan

Adel Taraabt

Tyrone Mears (Sorry)

Jonathan Howson

Robert Snodgrass

David Wheater

Shane Long

Also Adam Lalana and Alex Chamberlain from Southampton look very good players!!
