Liverpool £8m bid

I wonder if this a tactic to make Adam loose his focus or if they really are interested.

It doesnt look like we are running though. Only Villa and Brum being mentioned in all the press today.

Nicko?

Thats us out of the race for him then!!!

Total dismay. Supposedly our top target and, seemingly, we've done SFA to secure him other than sit on the fence, probably dithering.

Why the hell are we after Rochina & RSC when we have Kalinic, M. Diouf, Roberts, Benjani and Blackman, a young lad who's proved he can score goals in the SPL.

It's so obvious that we need 2 class midfielders - O'Hara & Adam in tandem would have been awesome.

Totally bemused, dismayed and wondering what the hell is happening to the club that I've supported for more than 40 years.

So a phony story about Liverpool and Adam gets picked up and you take a couple of minutes for your latest bout of Touretts.

You have never seen Rochina - neither have I - but you don't fancy him. You praise up Blackman for no apparent reason.

O'Hara? When did he last play again.

Bogus balls.

Blackburn ahead of Lazio and Zaragoza for Roque

Translated:

The Paraguayan striker at Manchester City, Roque Santa Cruz, is very close to a return to Blackburn, club where he lived the best season in England. Lazio and Zaragoza seem a step backwards in the negotiations.

Lazio fear Roque will choose Rovers

I guess Roque Santa Cruz wanna come back to Rovers. He has settled in the area and would like a couple of more years in the premiership.

Rovers after Wes Brown? (3 club rule!)

Haha! If other clubs are offering between £2m and £4m, and Liverpool suddenly splash £8m for him, let them have him. If that's how they are going about their business, they will need all the help they can get.

It is obviously a story with no root in reality.

It's one of the oldest tricks in the book, how many times did we see some of our players linked with the bigger clubs, literally days before we played them.

It's pure waffle people, they're just trying to unsettle Adam even more ahead of the game.

Id like to see Wes Brown down here, A bit more pacey than Salgado and we would have nice cover with Michel on the bench then

Without the Utd ref biase he is a very average defender. I note that he's been nowhere near the Utd side for a while. (Might have been injured admittedly?) Gary Neville gets a run out with his zimmer frame before Brown.

I'd prefer to keep Salgado there than spend money on Brown.

On the official site it says Nick Blackman has signed a new two and a half year deal.

Now that is good news.

I don't know whether he will make the grade but he is clearly a very useful performer at a level just below Premier League.

Well done that man's agent who has been at Brockhall since New Year working on Nick's deal flat out for several days as I understand it.

I hope this reported interest from Dalglish is just a rumour, but if it turns out to be true then I agree with you 100% about our delaying any bids for our most urgent needs in the midfield area long before we even think about new strikers. Absolute chaos!!!

But £8m - really ? Surely there are better midfield players available for £8m than Adam ?

Are you disrespecting the entire Argentinian nation?

Are you utterly bonkers? Or another wind-up merchant?

It amuses me that people are SO against Maradona - but were jumping through hoops at the prospect of signing Mutu. Hypocrisy, much? :D

So lets get it from you. You actually want Maradona as our manager? I've never referred to Mutu in any post by the way.

Absolutely there are, but we are never going to find them or rather sign them if we dont put bids in for them. Adams is not the only pebble on the beach but the opportunity was there and we delayed and delayed until it is too late (assuming the Dalglish interest is true). Adam was supposedly our prime target.......that's my point.

So a phony story about Liverpool and Adam gets picked up (well we will have to see, just like loads of other stories on websites and in newspapers) and you take a couple of minutes for your latest bout of Touretts. I respect the opinions and rights of every MB user without getting personal with people - it would be nice if others could do the same. You have never seen Rochina - neither have I - but you don't fancy him. I didn't say that, I questioned whether we need him given other priorities and a limited budget (also, I probably know more about him than you as I have a friend, whose opinion I respect, who lives in el Masnou and he has seen him!). You praise up Blackman for no apparent reason. Well clearly Rovers rate him as they've just given him a new two and a half year contract this morning! O'Hara? When did he last play again.

Bogus balls. There you go again!

As I have said before, football is about 'doing things early, free kicks, passing, shooting and transfers, it doesnt allow people to react in time, always gives you the advantage.

The site says £8m rated, but no quotes about bidding £8m, seems rubbish.

Also why would any club offer £8m when Villa only have £3.5m on the table?

The Liverpool story is garbage. Checked it last night. Greeted by disbelief and a laugh.

£8 million?

I wonder who would put that figure out at a time when Villa top the actual bidding at £3.5 million?

I really can't imagine.
