I would assume the Spanish guy is coming to play. He must be earmarked for first team football.

He cant be coming to play in the reserves or I'm sure he would stay put at Barcelona.

I can see Robert's and Benjani not getting much play time and in around 4 weeks Robert's announcing how upset he is.

And in the Academy squad we got Banton, 19 years this year who really know where the goal is. But not sure if he is good enough.

Why not? He's a good player to have in the squad, he was brilliant against Liverpool recently.

I don't want him being first choice next season, but as third/fourth choice we might as well give him another deal if he has a decent second half to the season.

I agree. Benjani is a good 4th choice striker and would be happy for him to be here in that capacity.

Agree LeChuck. Don't think he's costing us the world and he's a decent squad player. We need some depth and as third or fourth choice he's gotta be worth keeping. Look at some other fourth choice strikers in squads around us and I bet their not as good as benjani.

Ngog is liverpools 2nd choice up there and he's hardly a star.

Anybody who shows the type of a appreciation to their employers tha Benjani did last week for rescuing him from retirement deserves consideration.

Really is a shame every time he moves he looks like his knees will give way.

Really dont understand the Blackman deal - the guy is obviously not Prem standard, why not just let his contract run out or sell him now. To offer him more money makes him more difficult to sell and if he gets injured or has loan spell which is bad then we could be lumbered with him ala Righters.

Rochina sounds promising, not that I know anything other than he looks good on you tube (like Villenueva). Good pedigree though, your likely to be able to play football properly if Barca have you to the age of 19.

Charlie Adam - not really bothered either way - think he's inventive going forward but slow to get back in and help out defensively - not ideal for a 4 man midfield, but willing to be proven wrong.

But we don't own him this time so if he does leave on the back of good performances it doesn't matter to us. He's only on loan so we're not expecting to keep him and besides if he does really well he might realise this is the place for him and decide to stay (in which case watch his form dip once those forms are signed )

I think we'd have to keep hold of Benjani or Roberts for another year, alongside Kalinic.

With Diouf going back, I think it would be a bit too risky to bring in 3 new strikers.

Then again, if they were proven Premiership strikers, then it would be a different story!!
