You would seriously give Benjani another 12 month contract?

I would, for me's he's already paid back his seasons wages with the double against Liverpool, he was also brilliant in the first half against Chelsea, the problem is his injury record but he wont be on mega money.

I think we'd have to keep hold of Benjani or Roberts for another year, alongside Kalinic.

With Diouf going back, I think it would be a bit too risky to bring in 3 new strikers.

Then again, if they were proven Premiership strikers, then it would be a different story!!

I personally would sign MD permanent. He's got pace, can finish and a good header of the ball. Complete striker. Might cost us 4 or 5 million pounds but I think he will become even better, so let's sign him.

I think Liverpools so called interest is having an effect on Adam, his heart does'nt really seem in it tonight.

Great gameplan Kenny ;)

He's got his heart set on a move to Rovers, It;s about time Charlie just came out and admitted it. Come on Charlie. ;)

Holloway staring at his phone during the game. JW texting him with a bid for Adam? ;)

Houllier is meeting with the lyon president to discuss the transfer of jean makoun,we should forget about adam and bid for the far superior makoun also if venkys want to raise their profile they should be looking at the next messi, pablo piatti.

haven't posted on here for a long while now but i don't think spending 6 million on a player not proven in the premier league in january is a good idea... the time he'll need to adapt etc makes it not worth it. we need adam. proven and not too expensive. can make a real impact for us for the second half of the season.

As I said in t'other thread.......Adam was outstanding,If Liverpool weren't thinking of buying him before, they must be doing now.

The whole team were outstanding, the players off the ball gave Adam loads of options with their movement and the defence were brilliant.

And Liverpool didnt play that badly.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway on captain Charlie Adam: "He owes us, the Blackpool fans, his team-mates and myself to stay until the end of the season… unless Man Utd pick up the phone and make me a ridiculous offer because I think he's good enough to play for them. £3.5m for Charlie Adam? You've got to be kidding me."

What Holloway says in public & what the likes of Oyston & the guy that bought Adam say may well be two different things.

I think on tonights performance his price probably just hit £5-6m....that william hill bet is looking good. Im sure Nicko will give us the full tale later.

As for strikers.....RSC, Kalinic, M.B Diouf (SIGN HIM UP), Benjani, Roberts is enough...Rochina is one for the future.

In summer I WOULD NOT offer Roberts any new deal, and I would have hoped by then we have MB Diouf on a permanent deal....as for Benjani, all depends on how RSC does and if anyone else if available for the right price in the summer.

Wonder if Adam has said he wants to leave if the right club comes in then? Would of thought it's a definite no go until the summer at least, unless he kicks up a massive fuss, and a big enough offer comes in. Holloway doesnt seem the sort of guy to give in to player power though.

Other than personal arguements are pathetic and this board has too many? None....

Once RSC signs - thats £1.8m done in wages alone.

With Adam rumoured anything between £3.5 - £6m + wages

& The barca kid available for £1.5m + wages

You do the maths

I really can't see Blackpool letting Adam come to Rovers! And to be fair why would he want to come at the moment! If we get RSC and Rochina in we've improved striking options but midfield is where the big problem is....hope there's more irons in the fire in that department!

I know the Brockhall scouts have been looking at holding centre mids but Kentaro are having all the say at the moment! What's the point in having a scouting set up if you don't use it?

  • Bigger club
  • Bigger ground
  • Better academy
  • Better training facilities
  • 3 or 4 times his current wage

I could go on....but its obvious why.
