Apologies for latenness...blame Ian Holloway for banging on too much.

ADAM...terrific tonight...Holloway wants to keep him...Adam wants to go...this is going to get messy...he is worth it...but a genuine fear vthat a really big club may now come in...some talent.

ROQUE...you have the details.

BANTON...you have them too.

Not much more to tell really.

Things moving forward, but Adam has to be a pretty major battleground for all concerned.

Time to make a move, in the words of Delia Smith, "Venkys were are you"?

I guess Liverpool would be a major threat, looks like Villa are turning their attention to Makoun.

With our glass midfielders I would have waited until later in the window before letting Linganzi go out.

I understand there are moves amongst some folks in and around Ewood to say bye bye to Chimbonda (no complaints), Dunn (wrong move probably) and Samba (suicidal move by Rovers) whether the players like it or not.

Strong personalities and independent minds are a problem in the broiler unit.

We definitely need a central midfielder but if Grella was fit he would be a superb player for us. A player who has the discipline to sit in front of the defence and break up play is invaluable these days. Whether we went with a "proper" defensive mid or not he would provide a great option if needed. Plus he can pass a bit which is a bonus, especially seeing as we have players moving into space to receive passes now.

Andrews is a good squad player as well, talent deficient but good enough to do a job when required.

Not entirely sure why you want Bentley to resolve our centre mid inadequacies. I would like him back too, but do we need another winger? Pedersen, EH Diouf, Emerton, Olsson, Hoilett, Dunn and Mame Diouf can both play out there too.

As for right back, have people forgotten that Emerton is more than capable there?

Emerton is definitely capable but unavailable for a month and I'm unsure if he actually fancies himself playing at right back. I don't think it should be up to him to decide, but if his heart's not in it to play that position then there won't be much point forcing him.

We are definitely weak in midfield, but we do have depth there currently. Emerton, Pedersen, Dunn, Andrews, N'zonzi, Goulon, Grella all can play there. That's 7 players for potentially 2 spots.

Ideally, we would get rid of Grella and Andrews, send Goulon out on loan, keep Emerton as cover for right back rather than midfield and be left with Dunn, Pedersen and N'zonzi for midfield.

In that case, bringing Adam (or similar) and a defensive midfielder in would be great. Santa Cruz, two midfielders and a left back is all we need at present. If we somehow manage to make the Europa league, then we can strengthen more in the summer window. We need to get rid of some of the deadwood though.

If this is anything to go by then Ruben Rochina would be good business as he clearly must have some talent to be playing for barca b.

Ok its not a high standered of football but he can certainly control a ball well and has very good dribbling abilities on what the video shows and the last goal is mint. For £1m his is worth the risk and will probably be better than rigters :D

I don't want to join in with the nay-sayers, but I got a sinking feeling we won't get Adam this window. I hope I'm wrong and that by February he'll be a Rover. The way things are panning out I can see him either staying at Blackpool helping them to a (more than) decent finish in the league, or being sold to a "big" club (like one of the Liverpool clubs) for an outragous amount of ££. After tonights display I can easily see Holloway and Blackpool demanding up to 10mill for him and getting away with it. Or he picks up an injury. Stranger things have happened...

Agree with those saying we probably should've tested the waters by now and tried to get him signed up. Either way - rather see him staying at Blackpool until the end of the season than going to a rival like Liverpool or Everton (know they can't afford him now but they have a knack for selling players at inflated prices - how much will Pienaar go for in the end?), and try signing him in the summer. Still leaves us desperately wanting in CM. Perhaps spend some of those 5mill on a timemachine for Dunn? :P

I understand Adam is a good player.

I see he can pick a pass, has great creativity and can have a huge impact in a game.

But I can't see him in a Liverpool shirt - not yet anyway. I know they're in decline.. But they've got an unhappy Torres, an aging gerrard and a homesick Reina.. With not much more else. I just can't see them bringing in Adam to try and convince Torres and Reina to stay.

I don't see where he fits into the team.. Surely they'll play 442 (with the talk of strikers being looked at), that's Torres + another, with Kuyt on the bench. Surely Adam and Gerrard cant play together in a team? Theres not a defensive minded central midfielder! My heart AND head says that he won't be going to Liverpool. But, I'm most probably wrong, footballs mad.
