Miker Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 If this is anything to go by then Ruben Rochina would be good business as he clearly must have some talent to be playing for barca b. Ok its not a high standered of football but he can certainly control a ball well and has very good dribbling abilities on what the video shows and the last goal is mint. For £1m his is worth the risk and will probably be better than rigters How many apps/goals has he had for Barca B?

Commondore Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 With hindsight, this Adam business seems a bit naive to me. If someone is doing well at a Premier League club at that age we still won't be able to buy him, Venkys money or not. The big dragons will come in and see exactly what Rovers scouts see.
Valois Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 How many apps/goals has he had for Barca B? Notto sure, here is his profile from the Barce website http://www.fcbarcelona.com/web/english/futbol/temporada_10-11/futbol_b/plantilla/jugadors/rubenrochina.html I know he has 4 goals in 9 appearances for Spainish u19

Chelsea, United, Arsenal, City - ALL very unlikely Spurs? Would he get in midfield before Bale, Modric, Van Der Vaart, Lennon Bolton/ Sunderland/ Brum/ Everton? Skint in this window That leaves ....Liverpool....Villa as clubs who would really worry us in a bidding war.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Have Liverpool definitely made funds available to Kenny?
roversnick Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Analternative? ha ha ha ha ha what a mistake *an alternative (WITH space )
ewoodnews Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 How many apps/goals has he had for Barca B? Profile on Facebook "where the youth B Barca scored 18 goals in 10 games." that would do me haha some other intresting information aswell

We don't seem to help ourselves do we? If Adam was the main priority (and everyone knows central midfield is) then they should have bid in December, it's likely his value has now doubled in about 3 weeks. You would hope to god that we have another alternative lined up. If we go another window without signing some quality in the middle..... mind you, I've heard that Geovanni lad is still available

Promising to see that Barcelona B is actually in the Segunda Division, not Segunda B. Might be good, but I wonder how strong an opposition he's played against, not to mention how physical.
Mr. E Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 life would be so much simpler if players didn't have so much ridiculous control over their employers. Adam would stay at Blackpool, and we would be in the Champions League.
slough_rover Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Nicko I hear your warnings were right- we were too slow on Adam. Doesnt matter how quick we were, he would always opt for Liverpool over us.
Iceman Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Doesnt matter how quick we were, he would always opt for Liverpool over us. silly boy then, if he chooses us over liverpool. He might be good, but amongst the pressure, it could be another wasted move. Good luck to him, wherever he decides to go.
cruz Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Are people that naive to think Adam's price has changed because of one game? Blackpool know their price. It's the same as it was yesterday, last week and last month and that's HIGH because he's Blackpools best player and Blackpool hold all the cards. Juat like we did with Duff, Bentley and Roque
philipl Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Are people that naive to think Adam's price has changed because of one game? Blackpool know their price. It's the same as it was yesterday, last week and last month and that's HIGH because he's Blackpools best player and Blackpool hold all the cards. Juat like we did with Duff, Bentley and Roque Woe, there are several instances of buying decisions being made on the strength of a player's performance in a single game in the past! When you have naive owners never mind under pressure football bosses in the game, these things happen all too frequently. Doesnt matter how quick we were, he would always opt for Liverpool over us. I understand that KMD's interest in Adam is very real. Had we moved at the start of the window instead of faffing about until 7 January to sort out a budget, perhaps Adam would have been sorted whilst Dalglish was on his cruise. As it is, and here my info departs from whatever Nicko is being fed, we missed out on Steve Clarke and we are certainly way behind the game on the player we have consistently been linked with over the past three months.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Holloway is definitely talking like a worried man who knows that if the price reaches what the club will take, Charlie will be off like a shot. We need to make a £5.5m bid today.

We need to make a £5.5m bid today. What are the current William Hill odds on Rovers making a single purchase for over £5m? That could be a good indicator of what happens next.
Bobby G Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I doubt we value him at anywhere close to 5.5m.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 I doubt we value him at anywhere close to 5.5m. Shame, that's probably still a million short of what it'll take.
cloggyjimmybrfc Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Most of the transfer business is done in the last 24 hours,I thought as seasoned regulars we should know this and stop knee jerking at every opportunity, the drama queen slot will be open once the window closes....can't you queenies wait a few weeks?.
ERIKS666 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 If this is anything to go by then Ruben Rochina would be good business as he clearly must have some talent to be playing for barca b. That video has been posted at least twice before over the previous few days Ok its not a high standered of football but he can certainly control a ball well and has very good dribbling abilities on what the video shows and the last goal is mint. For £1m his is worth the risk and will probably be better than rigters
Guest linganzi Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Shame, that's probably still a million short of what it'll take. well that's about 3 million more than he is worth so they are welcome to him because holloway is a clown who will relegate them next season if not next. There are much better players for that price. Pienaar if he would come to us, kranijar however its spelt. Coutadeur at monaco.
greco Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 According to Wiki, has 4 goals in 26 appearances for Barcelona B. Promising to see that Barcelona B is actually in the Segunda Division, not Segunda B. Might be good, but I wonder how strong an opposition he's played against, not to mention how physical. havent been following neither the championship or the segunda division, but i cant be that far fetched to compare those 2 leagues. His statistic are not insane, but repsectable. At the age of 19, he has almost played a whole season, for what we can estimate to be championship level. This being done at the best club in the world, with en excellent youth set-up , where there must be strong competition, even at that "level". He is a u-19 for spain and spain always seem to have a good youth side. If we get him, its certainly one, that is going to be intriguing to follow.
philipl Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 BBC- QPR want Blackburn's Jason Roberts to replace striker Jamie Mackie, who broke his leg at the weekend (Daily Express). Also the Mirror is reporting Liverpool are in for Charlie Adam.
Guest linganzi Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 They want a favour from us? Haha, apply via twitter
cloggyjimmybrfc Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Time for rovers to administer "payback" to the yorkshire "ripper" warnock if they want "our" jay....
