Your obsession with Bentley is starting to get a little strange. You need to let him go.

If, and I doubt we were interested, how do you know a call to his agent wasnt made, when he was made available for loan? The straight answer we would of got is No.

Not strange at all, just know a good footballer when I see one and want the best for my team.

And I know we never made an enquiry about him because I'd have heard about it via interview with Mrs Desai BEFORE it happened.

You havent any idea whats going on behind the scenes so how on earth can you judge? You simply believe what fits your arugments. You want players who can make a difference - so you now know who we're after?? Would Charlie Adam not make a difference?

Roque on loan isnt a bad shout and will make a difference if fit.

Trustees stretching to £5m?? What, as they did the last window when we signed Benjani on a free and Diouf on loan??

If fit ? :wstu:

Whats the evidence to say he'll be fit enough.

To clarify those remarks. I said that I believed a 'knockout' bid of £5m would have landed him on 01 Jan. and I don't think many would dispute. Last week at the Brum match, a friend with connections at Bloomfield picked-up that the price on his head was £6.5m. Two entirely different statements if read and understood properly.

As for negotiating, I buy and sell many commodities reasonably successfully, so I might be better placed than some!

So who is your next manager going to be?

David Bentley is not best for the team, believe me. I know it's hard but you really need to let him go, he's gone to Brum, were no doubt Larsson will keep him out of the first team. Give me Jnr any day of the week.

What do you mean by that? They're obviously looking to bring in one striker for now and one for the future, as well as a central midfielder. I think Rovers know what they're doing, but not so sure that you know what you're talking about.

Dont know anything about the Barca kid, Adams seems ok to me, not a world beater though, but OK for Rovers. As for the rest of the names that have been put out there its concerning to say the least.

Do Venky's know what they are doing?

Wait and see. If Bentley keeps Brum up, remember that someone else will go down.

2 points------Larsson isn't in Bentley's class and what's Hoilett got to do with it? Are we only allowed to sign a player if we let go of someone you believe to be similar?

Looking solely for players to come into Rovers who can make a difference, not a young kid who or may or may not have potential, and an ex injury prone highly expensive player.

So far its running along similar lines to the previous regime which i'm sure the Trustees could well have stretched to a paltry £5m for this window if they were still around.

Everyone of us should be looking at Anderson and Kentaro to deliver for Blackburn Rovers. Ok, its early days but so far from Nickos posts they havent been encouraging AT ALL and we are fast approaching the end of this open window.

Our current activity in the trasnfer window has hardly been poor.

The fact is that Blackpool don't have to sell Adam and why would they considering his and the teams performances this year.

Holloway will do everything he can to keep him and why shouldn't he; I fear that this may push the valuation above what he is worth.

If you could name some people you think we should be targeting that would be much appreciated?

If not, shall we rely on the magic wand that you seem to think that SEM/Kentaro have?

Are you kidding?! I'll dispute!

Do you honestly think, had we put in a £5 million bid on January 1st, that...

a] Blackpool wouldn't have sat on the offer to see if other interested parties put in a bid

b] Adam's agent, who will obviously know about the interest elsewhere, would keep our bid quiet from other clubs/agents when his job is to get the best deal for his client?

The naivety is staggering, really. You're also being incredibly dismissive of Blackpool, as if they'd go all sweaty, start shaking and snatch at the £5 million, like a £50 note being waved in front of a street beggar.

A bidding war was absolutely inevitable, regardless of where we decided to enter (if we even do).

The list was compiled by Kean, and as we are lead to believe, Adam and RSC were BFS main targets, and Rochina has been scouted for some time now.

As I have said Adam is plan A, why go chasing plan B, and making it public who your plan B is until Plan A has failed? It just doesnt make sense. I agree if Rovers want Adam they need to make a move sooner rather than later.

As for a world beater? Are you for real? I dont know many world beater's who will move in January unless you are willing to spend 27million on a Dzeko.

I dont think the question is do Venkys know what they are doing? Its do you know what you are talking about? Short answer - No.

So you BELIEVE that £5 million would have got him at the start of the month.

Yet a well-placed pal heard at the same time that it might be £6.5 million...

Blethers.

Mate seriously you need to let David go, we all did when he turned his back on us when spuds came a sniffing. If it aint broke dont try and fix it with an ego who hasnt played in over a year.

There will be new signings

An interview with our new assistant manager John Faxe Jensen from a danish newspaper.

Highlights from the interview:

* There will be new signings before the window closes

* They have been discussing the squad and acknowledged where on the field to put the effort on brining in new players (HOPEFULLY CM / DM )

* John Faxe Jensen says HIM and KEAN have worked out and delivered a list to the Indian owners with potential targets (Spanish names?)

* Having his debut against Chelsea on Sat.

I don't see the problem in bringing RSC back onboard, if he performs he's a handful for any defence around. If he doesn't stay fit then he won't sign on a permanent in the summer. Adam is plan A for central midfield, I hope we have a plan B too as he is attracting more suitors for every game he plays. If we do bring in a quality central midfielder though, what else is it you're asking for?
