[Archived] Transfer Window Part 3

Blackpool aren't going to come out with all the 'sideways step' talk are they? Like when Burnley lost Coyle.

Hope so and I hope its us in the back of his mind where he knows he will end up

wonder if Holloway will threaten to walk again if Oyston accepts a bid for Charlie Adam :lol: seriously if Adam goes and demands a transfer how long will Blackpool be willing to keep an unhappy player

They already are. Can't see why he'd move to a team below them in the league when they have games in hand (United and Spurs at home). We're only 2 goals behind them, could easily overtake them in the very near future.

Most Blackpool fans reckon they're down if he goes and it'd be suicide to sell him, although they also accept that taking 6m or so would be too good to turn down. If he doesn't go this window he'll have to be sold in the summer, since he almost certainly won't sign a fresh deal and they risk losing him for nowt the season after. And if they go down anyway even with him, his price will drop by a good couple of mil in July.

Can't imagine Charlie Adam in a Rovers shirt would be very popular with the away end when we play Pool in March...

Who cares?

I'd love another local rival. ;)

Fortunately, i don't think they are quite as deluded as their manager.

A bit over-dramatic there? He is a brilliant midfielder.

He is what I would call a tw@er. Similar in size to Essien and is exactly what we need. I would snap him up in a heartbeat for 2 million euros! We would still need a creator in the middle of the park, but Annan would definately provide the steel.

I think the chance to sign for an established premier league club and probably triple your wages would be enough encouragement for Adam.

It smacks a little of the Savage saga from a few years back. He blatantly wanted to go to Rovers, Birmingham tried to dig their heels in but in the end, player power won out as usual and we got him for a reasonable fee.

I think we need to just make a bid in the next couple of days. Villa's interest appears to be stagnating like their interest in Samba, time to declare and get Adam to come out and say he wants to come.

That's right, we need to tape him up tighter than a midge's arse and really get the 'Pool boys to love us.

Santa is coming back to town too? Wasn't his wife, or himself, on here when we sold him, saying how unappreciative we all were? How will the fans receive the man whom in the past two season has played a better role of the victim in "Misery" than James Caan?

Worried about his knees in our lovely clime.

<------------------------ Whats with the warning still? I havent said a word (well maybe a few, by proxy, but nothing serious) in months. I'm a good boy, I am.

Urgh, pointless. We know he can score goals in the SPL.

Surely a Championship club would take him on loan? That would tell us a lot more.

I imagine we know what we have with him by now. It's more about letting him get some games, putting him in the shop window and possibly getting something as a fee or towards his wages.

There will be new signings

An interview with our new assistant manager John Faxe Jensen from a danish newspaper.

Highlights from the interview:

* There will be new signings before the window closes

* They have been discussing the squad and acknowledged where on the field to put the effort on brining in new players (HOPEFULLY CM / DM )

* John Faxe Jensen says HIM and KEAN have worked out and delivered a list to the Indian owners with potential targets (Spanish names?)

* Having his debut against Chelsea on Sat.

Is he playing on Saturday? Could be an improvement!

Seriously this is the 4th list submitted to Venky's and that is without counting anything Jerome Anderson has sent them.

I Hope Anthony Annan is on this new list. 1 year left on his contract Seville trying to buy him for 2million euros.

he would be value for money.

Do you think he is physically big / strong enough for that role in in the PL ?

Holloway on SSn saying he wants Adam to go, but only to a club were he will be loved and appreciated, and were he feels he deserves to go.

Adds to that the clubs have contacted them about him so far are not one of those clubs, and have no chance.

We would certainly have qualified before 17 November.
