How many right sided widemen do we need - Hoillett, Emerton, Diouff & Dunn at a pinch, now the Swede!!! This smacks of thinking that's not joined-up and a bit too convenient for interested parties!!!

FFS - we need 2 class central midfielders!!!!!!!!!!

EXTRA EXTRA!

Sources in Germany say Rovers close in on Schalke´s Jermaine Jones. Half-year loan deal + option to sign him permanently in summer.

Is this true?don't know too much about him apart from he's had plenty of injuries, larsson is average at best.

Sending Linganzi out on loan to me says that we will sign one at least.

Heard about this guy - apparently, a bit like Grella! Struggled with injuries since 2005 if his background is correct. Just what we need!

A decent defensive midfielder. According to wikipedia he has missed out on nearly two seasons in the past five years due to two serious injuries.

Must admit hes never really stood out for Brum, is this then the way forward for Rovers plenty of Joe Averages coming in under the Venky's/Kentaro partnership along with the likes of Jermaine Jones.

If so, Mrs.D was bang out of order in criticising Allardyces signings.

Wowzers, would hope thats nobody from this board. Would of thought they would have done their research in regards to RSC agent, instead of making an assumption.

*Stalker mode on

Will you please stop writing "would of" - that's the second time tonight - unless you know no better.

Stalker mode off*

With regard to this great new signing, is that it ? ...... Sebastian Larsson, and in the summer too, so still nothing spent in this window.

Message to Venky's: show us the £5m that is going to get us into the Champions League now , or I am going to get very cross.

And another thing: why does Kean's famed list of targets consist of players in positions for which we already have decent options ?

Or could it be that this is yet another player / manager / coach being foisted on us by Kentaro ?

Hope so mate.

Diouf's days are numbered, and perhaps Emo.

I think Larssons ok, not amazing but solid enough, can also play right back, only 25, on a free, decent back up for Hoilett, just hope he knows he will be back up for Hoilett.

I sincerley hope the Jermaine Jones story is not true -

Jones courted controversy in 2004 for an interview for popular sports magazine Sport-BILD. When asked whether there were gay footballers in the Bundesliga, he said "hopefully not."

In March 2007, Jones announced on the official Eintracht bulletin board that he would not extend his contract expiring at the end of the 2006–07 season.[11] This enraged many Eintracht supporters, as Jones cancelled a contract negotiation with chairman Heribert Bruchhagen a few days before because his advisor was on a sudden journey to Brazil. In October 2006, he already had defended himself for turning down a contract offer, underlining he wanted to stay after all the management of the Eagles had done for him during his injuries.

In March 2009, the British newspaper the Guardian misquoted Jones as saying "[it doesn't] make any ###### difference [what the Schalke fans think] at the end of the day" in response to jeering by supporters.

Santa Cruz and Larsson are good acquisitions, pleased to see how cheap we're picking them up for. Larsson would've been my choice out of the Premier League wingers we had a chance at signing. I don't think we need another right winger at present though, if he comes in the summer then surely we'll get rid of Emerton as a result.

I like the idea of having Diouf, Larsson, Olsson and Hoilett competing on the wings.

Nicko- was Larsson on Kean's list?

Seems strange that Jenson was talking about priority areas for transfers and we're targetting another right winger. That said he's not a bad player but with Junior, Dioufx2 and Emerton where will he fit in?
