super_arran Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 My new favourite player. The man's a machine! He only had to look at the linesman for him to change his mind about their first "goal" haha

Sysagent Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Impressed me when he first appeared in the Blue & White halves and is still continuing to do so... Really is the signing of the last window, could he be like Ince's Robbo? Who knows but I certainly would like him to sign permanently.
duffbear Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 reminded me of Robbie Savage today the way he hassled opponents more of the same please, really impressed today.
Andy Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Ran his socks off today, i would definatly have him permanent however his wages will have to be lowered, if he adds goals then fair enough, however putting yourself about and running around does not deserve 60-70k a week. but impressed me today Apparently his club pays him c£40k per week and the agreement we currently have sees us pay half of that whilst he's at Rovers. Still a lot of money obviously, but it's not as though we're paying £60-70k per week for having him here. Had his best game for us today, a proper runner and trier - the type that Rovers fans traditionally love.
danielwhite813 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 My midfield for the next game would be Olsson J Jones P Jones Hoilett
47er Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 My midfield for the next game would be Olsson J Jones P Jones Hoilett Ditto that but who's your left-back?
Sysagent Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Ditto that but who's your left-back? No-one as we didn't sign one in January. Perhaps Phil Jones could fill in there, as he seems to be able to play anywhere on the park at the moment? Who knows, I am clutching at straws.
Mafioso Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I think it wouldnt be a bad idea to have Olsson and Emerton as left and right backs against Arsenal.
blue_and_white Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Hasn't massively impressed me overall since arriving but he was excellent yesterday. Absolutely everywhere and along with Hoilett our best player.
danielwhite813 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Forgot Givet was out for another game. It will have to be Olsson at left back against Arsenal.
cn174 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Thought this was his best game since Liverpool. In between he has been pretty average I would say. I'd like to see more of Jones and Jones in midfield together.
frosty Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Thought this was his best game since Liverpool. In between he has been pretty average I would say. I'd like to see more of Jones and Jones in midfield together. Wasn't his first game against West Brom?
cn174 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Wasn't his first game against West Brom? oops, so it was. His first game - thought it was vs Liverpool. Anyway, yesterday was the best one since then.
roversmum Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 He was everywhere. The man is a machine. Looking forward to seeing him rough up Arse's pansies
Exiled_Rover Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 He was everywhere. The man is a machine. Looking forward to seeing him rough up Arse's pansies Good luck. You're not allowed to actuallytackle them anymore.
patrickvalery Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I think J.Jones will play a huge part in the remainder of our season. I have seen enough to suggest he could be very effective in some ot the so called winnable games this year.
Mafioso Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 One thing i love about this guy... when a decision doesnt go his way, he just gives a Mona Lisa type of look, somewhere between a cheeky grin and an angry expression.. and you just know someone is going to get it !
Bobby G Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I think people have been harshly criticizing him at times. Not a world beater but offers something none of our other midfielders offer, which makes him an improvement. Gets stuck in, runs for 90 minutes and is box to box.
joey_big_nose Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Reminds me a lot of Steven Reid in the way he plays to be honest. Looks a bit like him too...!
Ferrit Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Personally I think he's only really now beginning to play at full match fitness. He's missed alot of football this season, and for someone of his style it's incredibly difficult to be at 100% without games under your belt. Can only see him getting better,
roversmum Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Good luck. You're not allowed to actuallytackle them anymore. Ha ha I can see a big fall-out with Mr Whinger. After half an hour of Jermaine his darlings will be running for cover when he appears near them. One thing i love about this guy... when a decision doesnt go his way, he just gives a Mona Lisa type of look, somewhere between a cheeky grin and an angry expression.. and you just know someone is going to get it ! Two wishes. For safety from relegation and a permanent contract for Mr J Jones. I'd be a happy mum.
47er Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 What's the odds on a press statement from Whinger this week appealing for proper protection from the ref for his band of innocents?
roversmum Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Nah. It will come a week on Friday, nicely in time for the match.
rebelmswar Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 His international game today - played one half, chopped down Messi, narrowly avoided a yellow, disappeared, subbed at half time.
