[Archived] Transfer Window Part 4

Recommended Posts

Spurs will probably be active on last day of the window. Krancjar, O´Hara and Dos Santos could be sold cut price to make way. Krancjar really doesn´t have future there anymore.

Good players, I'd be very happy with any of them at the right price. Only question mark would be whether O'Hara will get over his back injury.

Means its as believeable as By Alan Nixon ;)

Still in a paper, can't choose to believe one and not the other Mr Gallagher! :P

I wasn't suggesting it's true.. Just in reply to the fact there have been no mumblings for over a week. HOPE it's true but I do have my doubts seen as the article has absolutely no evidence to back up the claim whatsoever. Could have been read from this forum and it would have as much evidence........

To me the article sounded like picked from here. Would really like to hear from Nicko about Vazquez.

Here is one forgotten player who is definetely worth to look at.

http://en.wikipedia....Esteban_Granero

Nicko either seems to not want to comment on Vasquez (which would be strange if he knew something) or there is very little to confirm/deny the rumour

Spurs as far as I can tell don't do cut price moves. Very good as screwing the last penny out of bidders.

All three of those will have plenty of suitors so we would have to pay out. Each worth 5m though imo, provided they are fit and motivated. We should have a look at it.

I don´t think O´Hara is a big earner at Spurs. We could actually offer him pay rise and game time. His back is a doubt of course.

I really rated O'Hara, he was great when he was on loan at Portsmouth. Having said that would I buy a player who's had a long term disc injury ? NO way, he's got a friend for life there. That's speaking from very personal experience. I'd start off great, stiffen up in the second half. In the dressing room I could barely put my socks on, next day could barely get out of bed. Over the course of the week it'd wear off thanks to plenty of traction and I'd be ready for the next match. Repeat as and when required. Anybody remember Alan Gilliver ? O'Hara- sorry but no thanks.

On last day happends strange things. Spurs got VDV which was a sudden surprise even for Arry. My point was that if a club like Spurs will go for a big fish on last day they might want to get rid of players like those three. First club asking might be lucky.

I`ve said it before and I will say it again. If Barton ends up in a Rovers shirt I will not attend another game, home or away until he is gone. I`m sick of overpaid footballers and I`m certainly sick of overpaid thugs playing football. Stick him in our shirt and thats me done. Some things are more important.

As for O`hara. Now there is a player. And a player with a great attitude.

I suspect there might be quite a few who would join you in not attending. We've put up with some nutcases in our club shirts before but not anyone I can recall in the last 20 years who has persistently behaved as he has. I might have to stop going myself because I would not want to find myself cheering him if he scored.

Venky's can spend the second half of the season looking for a big name if they want. Right now I think we're one signing short from this window being a decent one. So far its hit satisfactory.

Roque: Cant complain. Better then we've got by a distance. Seems to have a healthy attitude and if he stays fit then its a decent signing

Jones: Sounds like what we need. A bit of steel in midfield.

If Larsson plus one of the Barca kids arrives then that constitutes a very decent window regardless of what what anyone says. I dont care how much is spent as long as decent players arrive.

Im sure some will run around shouting that £5m wasnt spent in the window and therefore Venky's have failed, but who cares? If Larsson, Roque, Jones plus a couple of Barcelona youngsters joins then that substantially improves the squad. I dont think anyone could have expected any better players to have come. Adam is a shame though.
