Speedie Dived Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I hear he is heat resistant and wipe clean Possibly the funniest thing i have ever read on here. I doth my cap in your direction sir.
92er Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Anyone remember that penalty miss when he ran from almost the half way line to take it! Think it was against Palace. I certainly do.
BuckyRover Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 They are playing it exactly like I play football manager. Buy loads if promising youngsters and eventually you strike gold. This is a good business model to follow with little financial risk. You just need the initial, relatively small outlay (which we didn't have previously)

Bobby G Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 If this turns out to be not true I'll be disappointed as he is very highly rated.
NookRover Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 http://twitter.com/#!/Joel_Richards Red and Black? Halved shirts? Boy's a shoe in!!!
Fylde Coast Fan Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=1363495.html Midfielder Mauro Formica will not be joining Genoa after his proposed move from Newell's Old Boys collapsed today. "The deal fell through and it was partly our fault," club president Enrico Preziosi told Sky Italia. "However, we are looking at other possibilities. "Like others, we are waiting to see what happens with (Fiorentina striker Adrian) Mutu. "Mutu is a player that does interest us but we have not spoken to Fiorentina yet." Mutu was dropped from the squad for leaving a training session early, and his future at Fiorentina is up in the air.
bluebruce Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 With regards to the'Big Name signing'.. As time passes and we start to become accustomed to the quirks and foibles of the new owners, I think it’s fairly clear that the only one who has been consistent and honest from the start is Mrs Desai. She hasn't though. I can't be bothered to dredge them up, but she has made contradictory statements too. Mostly early on.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Also this http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/90001/90779/90871/7257866.html Argentine top flight club Newell's Old Boys confirmed Tuesday that their attacking midfielder Mauro Formica has agreed to transfer to Italian Serie A club Genoa. Guillermo Lorente, president of Newell's Old Boys confirmed Formica's four-million-euro move. And the 22-year-old will join countrymen Rodrigo Palacio and Franco Zuculini in Genoa, who are currently 13th ranked in the league standings. Formica, debuting in the Argentine first division in 2006, has owned 83 caps for the Newell's and scored 20 goals. Speculation that he failed a medical at Genoa.
BuckyRover Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 She hasn't though. I can't be bothered to dredge them up, but she has made contradictory statements too. Mostly early on. Please go to the effort. Because I don't think it's true
steo Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Formica is apparently on his way to west ham for 3.2 mil, although someone has edited his club on wiki to galatasaray.i don't know how to post links just google his name and you will see the west ham story.
Bobby G Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Supposed to be 4m euros and a 4.5 year contract. If true it must be the end of Adam.
BuckyRover Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 All successful teams have a mixture of youth and experience. Indeed. We have plenty of experience already.
Speedie Dived Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Argie journo reporting now that it's a 4 and half year deal and 4 million euro's
steo Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Argie journo reporting now that it's a 4 and half year deal and 4 million euro's To which club?
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Formica is highly rated and a playmaker type of player. IMScouting earlier in the month did a feature on 5 playmakers that Rovers could target: http://www.imscouting.com/global-news-article/5-playmakers-for-Blackburn-Rovers-/12779/ Formica is mentioned...
Speedie Dived Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 To which club? Blackburn Rovers Football Club.
Speedie Dived Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 You got a link or web address that states this? No link i am afraid. As i said, i am not sure about the validity of the comments but it appears they are gathering pace.
The Gull Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 A couple of Argentinian journos on Twitter are convinced it's a done deal, just waiting on a fax apparently?????
