Wilko Rover Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Perhaps simply misinformed? It's seemingly impossible to know whether something is nailed on until the player in question is pictured holding a Rovers top. Have we got a picture of J.Jones with his lovely new shirt yet?

Guest linganzi Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Signing formica will make us table toppers
Backroom Tom Posted January 18, 2011 Backroom Posted January 18, 2011 This is actually entertaining for once, I'm enjoying being linked to promising youngsters from overseas. Just feel we need one creative player along with Jones and RSC to be our best window in years.
HemelRover Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Signing formica will make us table toppers Already done im afraid mate.
brfcshabba Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Signing formica will make us table toppers Unfortunately this was done 1 hour and 44 minutes ago Which is quite funny as my post was also done 1 minute ago
bep Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Already done im afraid mate. don't you mean already covered lol
Hughesy Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 They are playing it exactly like I play football manager. Buy loads if promising youngsters and eventually you strike gold. This is a good business model to follow with little financial risk. You just need the initial, relatively small outlay (which we didn't have previously) Totally agree Exactly how I play it too....identify the key skill you want, like pace or whatever and then sign the youngest, fastest players and sign them up for next to nothing....they fail - they might make lower leagues and earn a fee...or they may be a success.
BPF Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 The journo posting that we've signed Formica is now posting messages with an 'if' in addition to the 'when' he was posting earlier. Pinch of salt?
mogster Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I love transfer windows. A transfer window is when blokes I have never heard of become absolutely nailed on necessities to sign for my club! I don't know how I've ever lived without Formica..... That's a sentence I never thought I'd say
LeChuck Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 This is actually entertaining for once, I'm enjoying being linked to promising youngsters from overseas. Don't forget about Villanueva!
Oklahoma Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Nicko, could it be Rogelio Funes Mori? A lot of european clubs want him 19 year old striker, highly rated, Argentinian under 20 international.
hawkiiz Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I wonder what transfer windows were like pre youtube.
TugaysMarlboro Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Larsson 500k Absolute bloody bargain if that's true.
Backroom Tom Posted January 18, 2011 Backroom Posted January 18, 2011 Don't forget about Villanueva! Never, I enjoyed having him here he was a joy to watch at times he just wasn't quite up to the premier league pace. Nothing saying these guys wouldn't be though
Hughesy Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Larsson 500k Absolute bloody bargain if that's true. Thats the one... According to Nicko its not been rejected or accepted yet - but will get done, as they have his replacement in now.
Valois Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Signing a young South American would certainly tie in with this - "In the long term, the Rao family would like to recruit and develop young players from Brazil and Argentina - as well as locally - and Kean's linguistic skills are a small contributory factor to his permanent appointment. He speaks several languages, including fluent Portuguese." Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1347548/Is-rookie-Steve-Kean-Premier-Leagues-unsackable-boss.html#ixzz1BQqiuydK
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Blackburn are signing Argentine Mauro Formica from Newell’s Old Boys in a £3million deal. Link from Mail
Hughesy Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Mirror - Samba TOP of Arsenal list Seriously "Aston Villa are also interested but Arsenal are at the front of the queue and are likely to test Blackburn’s resolve with a bid of around the £6m mark" WENGER -
Drunx2002 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I wonder what transfer windows were like pre youtube. They didn't exist! Ahhh the days when you could buy anyone, anytime, whenever you wanted, and pre-internet when you only found out a player had signed when you saw it on the news or in the local rag.
steo Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Hope it's true as i was very doubtful, you don't think the mail got this off twitter? does he defo have an italian passport, been a great few days after the pessimism of the first 2 weeks of the window.
