JAL my friend.

IF Sam was splitting us (the fans) imagine what Joey Scum would do.

A lot of people have already said they would stop going to Ewood if he put on the famous blue and whites.

I am all for a player who fights and gives his all on the pitch (involving some nasty tackles and a red card now and then), but a criminal thug is something else and he really doesnt seem to change (ie the punch on Gamst). I would not be able to cheer for this guy if he scored for us knowing he earns a lot of dosh and is disgusting.

Barton's a whip top all right but that was little more than a playful nudge. I rem Big John Macnamee gaining almost hero status for sparking out Ted MacDougal (once he'd checked that the ref was looking the other way) who after a ball had been hoofed clear had gone over to remonstrate with him right in front of the Blackburn End. I think MacDougall just about managed to scream two words in his ear before he got levelled with a haymaker. I remember Mike Ferguson being more than a little handy with his fists too. Glenn Keeley master of most of the darker martial arts was hero worshipped too.(btw why does he never ever look any older?)

All this Joey Barton this and Joey Barton that is just a load of hot air imo. People said the same about Speedie, Dickov, Sav and Diouff but to be honest they have all contributed more than most to BRFC's cause while they were/are here and all quickly became crowd favourites. Like it or not we all like to see aggravating, hot blooded and spirited players wearing the blue and white halves. :tu:

I think JJ can be our Joey Barton….no need to sign the lowest of lows….12 months ago Id have given him a chance as a reformed person, but he has just proved time and time again that he is a n0bhead! The retaliation to the soft lad Pedersen showed that wild streak he has that can be touched too easily. It also splits fans, which is something the new owners need to avoid too as they already have enough snipers on here alone.

Suggestions Chelsea, Arsenal & Spurs all interested in Cahill – but put off by there £25m valuation….

IF TRUE - £25m for Cahill is WAYYYYYY over the top….however it also says £6m for Samba is an absolute NO….also to back that up – Smalling with little experience cost in the £10m bracket last season – so id say ABSOLUTE minimum we set our asking price for Samba has to be £15m.

Also if a club likes Arsenal WANTS him then they should trade us some decent youth prospects, Jay-Emmanuel & Vela would smooth it over for me.

I listened to John Cross (the guy who wrote the Samba to Arsenal article in the Mirror) on Talksport this morning and he didn't sound convincing to me.

It almost sounded like he was giving his opinion that Wenger should go for Samba because he doesn't think Bolton will sell Cahill.

I don't know, I could be wrong but it just sounded like it was an educated guess more than concrete evidence that Wenger was in for Samba.

I listened too and got the same feeling. Cross said nothing to say that a bid is imminent. Only really saying that in his opinion, Samba would be a good choice for Wenger....

I'm not complaining just not getting too excited like Alexanders is. Young lads fight all the time, so I dont see why people should be upset with Joey Barton and his past actions, think he'd be ideal in Blackburn.

But Micheal Bradley would be more than ideal for Rovers.

Is Steve Kean not trying to get shut of EHD? Why on earth would he want to bring in another player from the same mould i.e. a d1ck!! Just be happy with what is going on rather than criticise players because YOU have never heard of them or dont know enough about them!!

Nicko please can you confirm the rumors of Formica.

Are the 2 deals for the Barcelona lads any closer ?.

Many thanks nicko.

There is a lot of noise coming out of Argentina about this...some of it fits, some of it doesn't.

If the player is genuinely flying over, then it must be on.

Venky's have a South American guy who was involved in Ronaldinho and this may be his work.

So it's a 'wait and see' job because the player has been going here, there and everywhere in the past.

I only know of the one Barca lad - Rochina. People keep forgetting he was the ne Mrs D mentioned. She never said anything about Vazquez who does not fit the 'profile' quite the same.

Putting cigarettes out in people's eyes is not 'young lads fighting'.

A lot of this is give a dog a bad name. Arteta's a nasty piece of work in general but last season he nearly poked Pederson's eye out yet hardly anything was made of that. Thing is Arteta is a planner whilst with Barton it appears more of an inbred instantaineous reaction to situations. Growing up in inner city Livvie won't have helped.

Another minimum fee release clause?

There is no fixed fee clause in Samba's contract.

He wants more money.

That has been the story all the way through.

Others made him the captain of the Muntiny on the Bounty.

It has always been more about bounty than mutiny.

Being a Swede how much do you rate Seb Larsson?

Think I can answer this one, being a Swede myself. I do rate him, but I'd sooner call him "useful" than "great". He has a wicked right foot and works hard up and down the flank, but lacks the pace to be a really effective traditional winger. I'm actually surprised he hasn't moved into a central midfield or fullback position (he's been tried there in the national team, with promising results) yet, I think that would fit his qualities much better.

This was also true of Beckham throughout his career.
