Hughesy Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 .. if that's the case, Mrs. Desai wasn't kidding about leasing players, wasn't she. Is it unlimited international loans?? If so it makes sense as long as the perm fee is already agreed - lowers risk of foreign failure signings.
budha Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Is it unlimited international loans?? If so it makes sense as long as the perm fee is already agreed - lowers risk of foreign failure signings. That's what I've understood too. And obviously the time constraints of the January window tend to force some deals to be completed as loans, but hopefully loaning a new starting eleven every transfer window isn't the long term plan
alexanders Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I think it might be a good strategy if we are able to loan the Johnny Foreigners for 6 months to see if they are worth it with an already agreed fee. Sounds clever to me.
nicko Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Blackburn are believed to be closing in on the signing of Newell's Old Boys ace Mauro Formica, skysports.com understands. Nothing new in the story, but.. Funnily enough, there is a key mention of agent Barry McIntosh who leaks to Sky all of the time... That might explain the number of clubs linked to him lately. Intriguing one.
HemelRover Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Albin from getafe What about him? Is it a wish of yours or a rumour/story youve heard?
deftangel Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 It seems to be a habit of clubs in certain leagues that they make noise about stuff that hasn't happened and on occasion won't happen. How many times was Ronaldiniho a done deal to club X? The respective media in those countries tend to just gloss over it like they never said anything! So I'd take it all with a pinch of salt right now.
Guest linganzi Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 What about him? Is it a wish of yours or a rumour/story youve heard? Just a thought after looking at the bosmans
Bobby G Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I could see Larsson becoming a long-term right back option at the club. He started off as one at Arsenal.
neophox Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Nicko: Is the Formica deal to Blackburn agreed in principle? I've heard that he had travelled to England yesterday after the move to Genoa fell through?
Torgeir Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I could see Larsson becoming a long-term right back option at the club. He started off as one at Arsenal. I think he could do a job there too, but he would still lack a little pace there and isn't the strongest or most physical either. Hard worker, good stamina, and a very good right foot - wouldn't get to as many crossing oppurtunities from the back though. Main question is still whether or not he is willing to play there over a longer period of time. He might want to play in midfield only.
philipl Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 A short Earth to Rovers supporters post. The £5m budget is for wages and fees so it is about 70% spent already. ...unless Kean has returned with Mrs D's purse.
Bobby G Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 You would like to think that a trip to India would release some funds.

I thought he started out as a def midfielder then went to Birmingham which made him right sided.

philipl Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 This is bad news- PaulPlunkettLT Paul Plunkett I'd value Samba realistically at £10m-£12m but the fact that he said he wanted to leave for bigger club few weeks ago devalues him #rovers 3 hours ago Favorite Retweet Reply PaulPlunkettLT Paul Plunkett Mirror pricing Samba at £6m ... sounds a bit low to me #rovers 3 hours ago PaulPlunkettLT Paul Plunkett Mirror's @johncrossmirror - very well connected at #Arsenal - says Arsene Wenger has made Chris Samba his top transfer target #rovers Samba is desperately important to us. daveoftherovers Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 This is one mental guy: The 2 best pictures I've seen of Barton are: The one where The Axe has him held up off the ground by the throat whilst barton fills his pants at the prospect of being filled in by someone who can look after himself The 2nd one was one of him going into prison A person I would just not want associated with our club.
S15 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Sorry sunshine, yes I do. You've proved for years that you have no reliable inside track at Rovers. Get over it.

Sorry sunshine, yes I do. Devalues him - Why?? If a big club like Arsenal want him, Rovers should place a figure on his head (say 10-15M) and then its up to them to pay it. If not, then he stays where he is... I'm sure Cahill would like to go to Arsenal too, but he's not going unless Arsenal pay what Bolton want. Rovers should do exactly the same thing IMO...
S15 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 You are free to think whatever you want. Indeed. Luckily, your track record speaks for itself.
philipl Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Worth remembering that £5m for the January window is the only number the new owners have ever given.
Gav Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Indeed. Luckily, your track record speaks for itself. Don't read it if you don't like what he posts, lets not turn another thread into childish insults.
