just a very very minor point.. agree with you on JJ reckon he will work over here.. but cant compare him too Landon and co.. he was born/lived in germany most of his life (father with was an american soldier out there)... think more a hargreaves or a Goran Ivanisevic of the american national side.

A very very very minor point, he's still better than anything we've currently got in Midfield, which kind of resembles a large void with a one way sign on it (Facing our goal) ANYONE who puts a tackle in is a stark improvement, and if he can pick a pass, then we are cooking on gas!

Take tour point though, A Hargreaves (Not made of glass) would be excellent.

From all the hints and tips, it seems like it is Riquelme that we are after. But BPF said that everyone would love Venkys, and I cant see how Jim and the gang would love and over the top footballer that has never played in the premiership before.

But if its a player that would make all of us happy, then it would have to be a surprise move for our loved Luca Toni!

Tim Vickery was on TalkSPORT earlier answering questions about various South American targets and our Argie was mentioned. Tim Vickery said he was a similar player to Kaka although he wasn't as strong and wasn't sure whether he'd be a success in England due to that but he is really good and an exciting player.. He also said his supposed moves to other clubs fell through and he reckons his agent or club (cant remember which he said) were maybe using our club as a way to increase the interest in his player especially after Venky's showed how much money they seemed to have when trying to sign Ronaldinho.

Interesting times at 11pm! I look forward to some good news! *cough* Messi *cough*

The most concerning thing is that it sounds like we may be spending more than £5m this window. But what do Venky's know eh? Philip has had that nailed for the past month. Im sure this is all a mistake. Lets get back to panicking. We're far more used to that.

Is he not what many have called a mercenary of the highest order.

Anyway where are all the fatty pics, he's a lot to live up to on here before he even gets a sniff.

With Philip's contacts I'm sure he already knows who it is.

It wasn't that hard to work out, surely! from Glen's post,

I am holding my hope out for Kaka - I even have a space on my left asscheek reserved for him, right below the Venky logo.

I don't necessarily think it's Riquelme at all. I don't think that would get such an excited response from Glenn for starts.

Might be wrong though.

It would never happen, but its nice to dream! Just a question, has Kaka been injured this season, or is he just not rated by Mourinho?

And Rao is determined to deliver a high-profile signing to the Rovers fans, adding: "Yes we were trying to get Beckham, then we went lax on it as we were pursuing Ronaldinho.

"Nevertheless, I assure you we'll get a big name playing for us pretty soon.

"The first time as owners, they (Rovers fans) welcomed us so well. The feeling is overwhelming. It's something great."

What's the Samaritans phone number for Malta??

to be fair to philip, he's only questioning whether venkys are planning on piling debt onto the club, rather than funding from their own cash...

You can always get it done anyway and if he doesn't sign just add an arrow pointing to the right.

Hmmm....love for Venky? For everyone? And sounded like two pieces of information? Could only be two things if it is to make phillipl, jim2k etc happy:

Walker Trust just bought back the club and Sam reinstated as manager. Both promising "business as usual" and Sam make a point of getting the boys to "stop passing the ball around when it can be hoofed!".....ohh....and he's signing Barton and giving E.H.Diouf a payrise and making both the "face of the club" :P

My iPhone just got a great bit of news from Kamy, I think his inaugural Brfcs 11 o clocker will be riquried reading, marque my words.

Oh no,what have you done.

Why did you mention, an 11 o'clocker tonight.

Put yourself on a warning.

Even though I've been willing to give venky's a chance from the outset I just hope it wont be a PR exercise and a bid is lodged rather than just supposed talks with an agent.
