I get my Brazuca starlets confused... is Neymar the Santos wunderkid or the Villarreal young 'un destroying La Liga?

either way..... would LOVE LOVE LOVE either one at Rovers!

Neymars considered to be the best youngster around. Chelsea tried to get him for 19 million an d failed. If it's someone along this lines we would be talking about serious money.

Is using Red Star Belgrade who are basically totally bust simply a front for third party agency ownership of the player?

Must admit that was my thought if the RSB stuff is true.

Im also thinking, under the new financial rules etc - would this sort of stuff help clubs out? Someone else buys him, you then loan the players?

There is no way its Maradona, simple comon sense rules that out. Peoplelike BPF and Kammy would not be describing it as good or exciting news. :wstu:

I'm still of the opinion that Venkys are meeting Maradona in February but to talk about a South American Ambassador role, though noone I talk to can rule out the manager position. If it was Maradona, I would not be classing it as good news...

There is a lot going on right now, a lot of very exciting announcements will come out soon I'm sure.

If I'm right, then tonight's news <b>will not just be about potential signings.</b>

Must be Maradona joining in. Kean to continue as first team coach. Vacant place.

Neophox' guess (Maradona) makes me nervous.... just saw a live interview w/ him on TYC sports in which he talked about his visit to the UK. Discussed Tevez' current form and his new found 'admiration' for British organization, security and football. didn't mention anything in greater detail...but nerve -racking nonetheless.

'The British people (press) and I have had our back and forths over the last decades where I 've given as good as I've gotten. However, let's be honest, we share a similar respect for the game and I would be daft to not recognize the organization and security which characterizes their game.'

I think this guy's on someone's radar is now he's sucking up to them!

It might be work permit issues with the Formica going to Red Star Belgrade deal.

What I mean is that we have enqired to the Home Office and asked for a WP, they said not on your nelly. (A six month loan might be a way around this, not sure how it works in full.) We wouldn't own the player, then maybe in the summer make the deal permanent with a little bonus for Red Star and future good relations between the teams.

ALSO VERY EXCITED FOR 11! B)

BPF - thanks for the updates - I`m confused as just got in from work and have tried to skim read all the previous posts.

Are we announcing targets tonights, or signings that are due to go through that will excite the fans ?

Any chance of a cheeky PM as I can`t get back on to check tonight as on call with work :-)

Nope,that's not right. Apparently Formica holds an Italian passport so no issues there.

Either way whoever it is the usual suspects will say the same things, we could sign Messi and some would complain that he is too lightweight and unproven here.

Expecting a lot of people complaining about anti climaxes later.
