[Archived] Transfer Window Part 4

Not sure I can hold out til 11pm, its currently the most exciting time to be a Rovers fan in years.

Made up with the loan signings of Roque and JJ, add to that the signing of Larsson and yeah what a great window even before tonights revalations.

I find the Formica tales very bizarre tho. The financial state of Red Star would suggest Venky's could buy them for the price of a Chicken Burger and turn them into our Nursery Club.

There is a lot going on right now, a lot of very exciting announcements will come out soon I'm sure.

If I'm right, then tonight's news will not just be about potential signings.

I've heard non transfer announcement is a new sponsorship deal for the club with Pataks.

Expecting a lot of people complaining about anti climaxes later.

Even more so if it turns out to be a new manager when most of us just got use to having that scottish bloke ;)

FreddieBoswell7: Blackburn in early talks to try and sign Juan Roman Riquelme

NOOOOO........ please tell me this is a joke. Riquelme is finished as a difference maker. He cannot get himself up and down the pitch anymore. He's been breaking down progressively in the past few years (the result of being an indifferent trainer has caught up to him).

He's signed a huge contract w/ Boca (some may say he 'held them up') and my gut feeling is that the club are looking to jettison a heavy contract for a player that hasn't played in nearly a year. Bringing him to Rovers would be daft, there's millions of better applications for such a cash outlay!

If the two pieces of news I hear are true, there is going to be a Venkys love in this evening.

I may even have to apologise for doubting them.

uk time or india time??????

My mate reckons he has just seen adebayor down Ewood i reckon he is talking out of his backside

My nephew is convinced we have offered City 16 million for him, I'd leave the car at home and backflip from Chester to Ewood if its true!

Stop PANICKING. You have read one twitter announcement. Thats not enough to warrant throwing everything out of the pram.

I dont think it'd be Riquelme simply because those who seem to know have said that it'd be universally popular on the board, to such a degree that there would be a Venky's love in tomorrow morning..

riquelme and maradona are two panic triggers for me - sorry 'bout that--

but let's clear things up --I wasn't throwing anything out of the tram, just trying to bring to attention why

that would be a bad move.

346 users lol. Cmon aunty Venky, please let it be one of Keisuke Honda, Fernando Llorente, Riquelme or Aguero. Actually make it all of them.

Lisandro Lopez pleaseeeee, Well he's ace on Fifa ^_^

Other than that Neymar or nilmar would be nice.

But the cynic in me is saying it's going to be a player we are bidding for but wont end up getting.

Riquelme may not be what he was but if it was him he would still be comfortably our most creative player

Have to agree, Riquelme is not the marquee signing we want to see. The guy has been injured pretty much all season, signed a hue 4 year contract in the Summer, is a mere shadow of the player we saw at Villareal in his peak, Boca is were he started his career, think he might just like to finish it there. I hope.

I think Kean has signed his long term contract in Pune, and come back with funds to have a crack at signing Adam, Venkys are working on their Marquee signing. I would be sincerely disapointed if it's Riquelme.

If Riquelme is what is supposed to be making everyone happy then I'd be ready for a huge backlash later

Well said Roverdale. Past his sell by date now.

D'Alessandro? named Latin America player of the year. He is 29 yrs

I've been suggesting him for awhile but I don't think he's a marquee signing.
