If that hasn't floated your boat, plenty of other good things are going to happen before the close of the window.

So, more "rumblings". Fantastic player, would be delighted if he came but "a Venky's love-in"? Big Sam signed plenty of supremely talented aging players and I don't recall anyone claiming that it'd make Bolton fans want a "Gartside love-in".

A tad over the top, then.

Larsson permanent and Rochina and Formica on loan?

Underwhelmed.

5 years ago - yes, now - no, would rather have Charlie Adam.

Where are all these exciting young players we were told about - 33, 30 & 29 year olds wont get any better!!!

We are beginning to look like the Cricketing Cavaliers (exhibitionists) from the 1960's shown on Beeb2!!!

Definitely not - still sunk at Silverdale.

It's all jam tomorrow, we want some jam today.

Don't know where you are coming from - so unpredictable, one minute doom and gloom, next minute, Venkys are best thing since sliced bread.

Put up or shut up. Your like my first teenage girl friend. One big tease.

I hate to say this.......

but i'm w/ Mercerman... Riquelme's age and current fitness do not make this a slam dunk -- his 33 yrs. of age, the 'mileage on the chassis', & what is believed to be chronic foot/ankle problem concern me a great deal.

Another consideration (albeit a lesser one considering he doesn't speak English) are his peculiarites: a prima-donna that's been alternately isolated at every stop whether not getting along w/ the Barcelona stars to demanding preferential treatment at Villareal or running roughshod over the entire Boca Jrs. set up.

This is a guy I truly despise..... I've been waiting for nearly 20 years for a countryman to don Rovers' beautiful kit---i'm not laughing that fate has conspired to make JRR that guy. Typical, considering my 2010 has gone!!! I guess i'm in for more in 2011 :(

Predictable response from you Miseryman.

If you're underwhelmed by this transfer window so far what the feck were your thoughts on the last one when after much fanfare and drum-rolls we landed....Benjani.

Boring...

The Tugay replacement we never got is arriving then I see!!!

Undoubtedly, he will either play in the hole behind Santa Cruz, or he will play the deeper role like he used to for Argentina... Either way, we have not had anyone as technically gifted at Rovers for a long long time.

He's never going to motor about the pitch like he used to, but I'll bet a pound to a penny there aren't many players in the Prem with his range of passing.

I'm interested to see what deal we get him on, and if he settles into the life here & the pace of the Prem.

It will no doubt be good for the Spanish lads that might be coming in, and also Formica (if he turns up).

If we get Riquelme, Vazquez, Rochina & Formica... how much flair will we have on the pitch??? It'll be mental!!!

Lets be honest Mercerman you will NEVER be happy unless its unrealstic signings like Messi.

How old was Tugay when he joined us? 31? Hardly end of career time for a player who can pick a pass.

As for young players - what about these Barca boys & Argentinian lad?? They not good enough for you either?

Come on mate surely you can see already this window is better than the last couple, if we added any from Riquelme, Larsson, Rochina or Formica it would be fantastic.
